Important to note: I live in the home with my dog Athena. We stay in the 3rd bedroom and share the 2nd bedroom’s bathroom. We do often stay offsite, leaving guests to their own space. The space This is a three bedroom house with many warm and inviting shared spaces to spend time. Please see the Photo Tour for examples of some of the spaces available for your enjoyment. You will be occupying two of the three rooms. The third bedroom is mine. I am not home often, but when I am, I make for a quiet roommate. The rooms can be rented independently if you have a party of fewer than 4. See my other listings or send me a message for more information about that. My home was built in 1951 by the military. There was singular owner, the Moore Family, for most of it’s history. They took excellent care of the house in till they were no longer able to do so. I am working, slowly but surely, to bring the property back to its sweet splendor. It is located in Albuquerque’s International District. There are cuisine and cultural destinations in this area that are unique to the city. To feel ultra-local, please see my guidebook for some ideas. The immediate 2-3 blocks surrounding my home are good for strolling and have a safe, sweet, neighborhood feel. Though the district does have a reputation for being a little rough. Plan to drive (rather than walk) on nearby city streets such as Zuni and Central. Guest access SPACES The living, dining, and sunroom are shared spaces, as well as the kitchen and backyard. The Living Room houses a record player with a large selection of records collected over the years by various members of my family. There is also a hearth (for looks only) and a ROKU TV with Amazon and Disney+ for guest use. There is a full kitchen with basic utensils and dedicated fridge space for guest use. Guestrooms are equipped with coffee, snacks, and Bedroom 2 (The Rose Room) has a TV with Disney+ and Amazon. The sunroom at the front of the house offers excellent bird watching, and the backyard is a special place with a garden patio that offers a tranquil place to spend time, especially in the early morning and at dusk. There are laundry facilities which may be used by guests who are staying 2 nights or longer. Please provide your own detergent, etc. During your stay I will take your lead in how little or how much interaction you prefer. Please message me if you need anything.
