Maintaining aspects of its original character from the 1880s & updated with mod-cons, the Blue Rooster is the perfect place for your next family vacation or friend getaway. Located in a peaceful & well kept neighbourhood in the heart of the 1000 Islands, you are minutes from everything the area has to offer. Whether you choose to boat, hike, snowmobile, cycle, fish, shop or tour, you'll be rewarded with beautiful views! The space Our home, the Blue Rooster, is located in the beautiful Leeds and the 1000 Islands region of Eastern Ontario, conveniently located 1/2 way between Toronto to the west and Montreal to the east.Ottawa, Canada's capital is just a 90 min drive and the Thousand Islands Bridge to the USA is minutes away. Guests will be required to climb 4+ stairs to enter the house and access all of the bedrooms located on the second floor- please consider this information before booking. There is an active railway crossing at the base of the village. If you are an exceptionally light sleeper, please bring earplugs. Guests will have a private driveway with parking for 4 vehicles or 3 vehicles and a boat/trailer. Additional free street parking also available from April - November. Being in the heart of the 1000 Islands, we are surrounded by water and provide beach towels for our guests to use at the local beaches and splash pad. Our home is located within walking distance to: LCBO, Grocery store, Shops and Social House, Restaurants, Splash pad, Sport Court (tennis, basketball and pickleball), Skate park, Pharmacy, Horse track, post office and EV charger. We have several free public boat launches in the township with the closest one located a short 5min drive from the Blue Rooster in the hamlet of Outlet. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house except the third floor and the basement. This includes a 2 level mud room, front porch and a back deck that leads to an unfenced back yard with shaded sandbox, lounge chairs and gas BBQ. Your access also includes a fully equipped kitchen, a bright dining and living room, one and a half bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, a dressing/makeup room and laundry room.
