Welcome to our Sunflower Escape, an enchanting house nestled in the back roads of Albuquerque’s North Valley. Our tranquil retreat has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, extra living spaces, a quiet book nook, hot tub, and a shaded patio area with a grill and games. You'll be just a short walk to the amazing Los Poblanos open space and close to grocery stores, breweries, restaurants, wineries, and Albuquerque’s most unique attractions. We love our little corner of the world, and hope you do too! The space You’ll be on a quiet side road with no through access and very little traffic. From the backyard, you can access a beautiful acequia (Albuquerque's historical ditch system for irrigation, now used as walking and biking paths). Neighbors walk their dogs out front, and you'll find people sitting on their front porch in the evening. Our kitchen is set up for you to be able to whip up a home-cooked meal, and the grill is in back for your use as well. We’ve even got all the equipment for a teppanyaki-style meal on the grill, if you’ve ever wanted to try that, or relax on the rocking chairs, play a little cornhole or throw a few axes and enjoy the hot tub into the evening. We've got a coffee and tea station inside to help you get your morning off to a great start, and we’ve got complimentary water for your stay. The living room has a large comfy couch and a cute little book nook for your enjoyment, and the bedrooms are designed for a restful night’s sleep with cozy bedding and plenty of closet space, with relaxing modern boho design elements. Guest access The home is all yours! The backyard is fully fenced and gated, and there’s an off-street parking spot in front of the house as well as ample street parking. We’ve got peach trees, plum trees, grape vines, and a variety of plants, hummingbirds, and even a neighborhood squirrel to keep you company. Other things to note We are sharing this home as a way to share our love of Albuquerque’s North Valley, and there’s a lot to love! We’re in the heart of Albuquerque, within a lovely ten minute walk to the sunflower fields and bird sanctuary at Los Poblanos Open Space, or a 5 minute drive to many of the City’s best (and our favorite!) restaurants, like the Los Poblanos Lavender Farm, Casa Rondena’s winery, and El Pinto, a classic for New Mexican Food. We're also just a short five minute drive to breweries like Steelbender or La Cumbre, and still only a few minutes from the interstate to help you explore the rest of New Mexico.
