The Annexe at Salty Towers nr Eilean Donan Castle

💥TWIN OR KING 💥 Waken up to beautiful views overlooking Loch Duich.10-15 mins walk to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle and the village of Dornie.15 mins drive to Kyle of Lochalsh & the Skye Bridge. Great base to explore the island, & also Glenelg, famous for the last ever turntable Glenelg Ferry, 3 Iron Age Brochs & once home of the author Gavin Maxwell-Ring of Bright Water. 1 1/2 hour drive to Urquhart Castle at Loch Ness, & a day trip to Applecross and the famous Bealach na Ba, close to NC500. The space IMPORTANT- THE ANNEX CAN BE SET UP AS EITHER A TWIN WITH 2 SINGLE BEDS, OR A KING WITH BEDS TOGETHER. Please let me when booking which would be best for you so I can have it ready for your arrival. The photographs show each of these bed arrangements. ⭐Check in is from 4pm - 9pm - Please provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA). There is a full guest welcome folder with instructions etc, but please feel free to ask should you need any help, or even just advice, hints and tips about your time here in this wonderful area. More than happy to go over maps and assist with planning. We are always on hand and want your stay to be as relaxing and stress free as possible. Pop next door, or just message me any time. ⭐Check out by 10am latest. Self contained, self catering annex unit with your own private main entrance (3 steps to this door). There is also a patio door leading out to your own private decking with patio furniture provided. Open plan space with private bathroom and kitchen/dining area. There is a settee with views through the patio doors overlooking Loch Duich. There is also a television which has Netflix and Prime, and plenty mags and books to read . Myself or Captain Salty (Ali) are more than happy to go over maps of the area with you. Whether it be low level walks, or climbing the nearby Five Sisters of Kintail or The Cuillins on Skye, we're here to help. Bikers and Hillwalkers welcome too, as well as your furry family members. Doggie bed, towels and blankets are provided. 2 Small Dogs OR 1 Medium or Large only. We only ask that dogs not be allowed on settee or beds. Sorry 2 Adults (over 16) only. If you require large equipment i.e. tents etc to be dried, we can discuss that and find the best solution. Here to help.❤ ***************************************************** The kitchen area has a 2 ring induction hob, microwave, air fryer, slow cooker, kettle, toaster and fridge. The fridge has a small ice box at the top. All pots and pans, crockery, cutlery etc is provided along with eco friendly cleaning products, dish cloths and kitchen towels. Tea, coffee, selection of herbal teas, brown and white sugar. Cooking oil, salt&pepper, sauces provided. Welcome basket with biscuits, savoury snacks, croissants and jams. Tinfoil, cling film and sandwich bags provided also along with paper kitchen roll and toilet rolls. The bathroom has a large shower, toilet and sink. Heated towel rail. Soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided along with towels. There is a drying rack, and you are welcome to use the outdoor washing line too. There is a laundry in Kyle, but I am happy to do washing for you for an extra fee. This can be discussed at the time. Iron and ironing board included. For those hillwalking or biking, if you need your gear dried for the following day, I have an electric heating pod drier that you can request. Last thing we want is you heading off in wet clothes etc. 🙏 ***************************************************** If you don't feel like cooking, there is the Clachan pub in the village of Dornie (10-15 min walk - across from Eilean Donan Castle), as well as the Dornie Hotel. It is best to check their times and food availability by calling them, as the opening hours can change with the seasons, or get fully booked - I would advise booking in advance. We are also right next door to Manuelas Wee Bakery, Jo's Pizzeria and The Fairytale Gin Distillery (also now offering Vodka, Rum, Absinthe and the new The Dornie Dram Whisky - again check websites or social media for opening hours as seasonal. I would advise visiting a supermarket on your way here. We do have a small supermarket in Kyle of Lochalsh, and another larger one Skye in Broadford, but even picking up essentials etc is advised prior to arrival. The supermarkets can feel 'empty' at times during peak season, so if you have special dietry requirements, (gluten free, soya milk etc) I would plan ahead and stock up.👍 For this reason, I do not say I will provide milk etc, as what you might need I cannot get. I am here if you are stuck and happy to provide a jug of 'normal' milk etc until you are able to source your own. ❤ But please feel free to contact me at any time, long before arrival date if you ever need any advice.
