A modern farmhouse on an organic apple farm in the vibrant Cayuta Creek Valley, built by our family in 2023 and features a unique custom kitchen, beams and trim made from trees harvested from the farm, a large deck with a hot tub, and a spacious open floor plan. A peaceful getaway centrally located 35 minutes from Watkins Glen, Corning and Ithaca. The space The Rainbow Valley Farmhouse is a spacious and comfortable getaway for up to 8 guests. Located on a working family farm, the house is surrounded by lush gardens, beautiful views and 75 acres of orchards, forest, and fields with a protected trout stream meandering through. Built in 2023, the house is extremely well insulated with a modern heating and cooling system, 10 foot ceilings, tons of windows, hardwood floors and unique furnishings and art. The open floor plan includes a chef's kitchen and plenty of space for hanging out including a recessed sunroom with a bank of windows and plenty of natural light. The space melds seamlessly with a large covered deck that includes outdoor dining and seating and a five person hot tub. The house has four bedrooms and 5 beds. Downstairs you'll find a bedroom with a queen bed. Upstairs, bedroom 1 has a king bed, bedroom has 2 two twin beds, and bedroom 3 has a king bed. All beds have duvets with covers, extra pillows and 100% cotton linens. There are 2 full bathrooms (one upstairs and one down) which have both a shower and a tub. The entire downstairs, including one bedroom and one full bathroom, kitchen and living room, is ADA accessible. Guest access The entire house is yours! Feel free to hang out in your private (but unfenced) yard, enjoy the fire pit and outdoor hang-out area, grill and picnic tables. You can also walk trails on the property, go swimming or fishing in the creek or pick produce from the high tunnel (in season). The house is situated on a farmyard with lots of trees, flower gardens and mature landscaping. The feeling is private but happening. Nearby are a working cidery, farm buildings, a chicken coop, orchards, and gardens. The host's house is in the area as is another cabin rented as an airbnb. Other things to note Please remove your shoes inside the house. Please separate waste into recycling, compost and garbage using designated containers. Let us know if you want to pick veggies or farm fresh eggs (seasonally available). Cayuta Creek is a world class fly fishing stream. There are lots of places to fish on the farm. You must purchase a $25 fishing license online from NYS DEC.
