The Pet Friendly Big 8

The Big 8 offers 8 acres of peace. It is located in a ranching town in western Colorado, with access to Crawford State Park, where you can swim, fish, paddle, and enjoy the views of the Gunnison National Forest. The Black Canyon is nearby, with more spectacular views, hiking trails. The nearby towns of Paonia and Hotchkiss offer a variety of restaurants and music venues, along with the local Bar and Grill, where you can mingle with the locals. Want to bring your horses? Lets talk. $25 per horse. The space The house sits on 8 acres off a town gravel road. It is set off the road for privacy and has a driveway, providing plenty of space to park close to the house. Pastures and a small grove of cedar trees surround the house, and there are lots of wildlife, including mule deer, elk, and various birds, including hawks and eagles. An occasional fox or coyote may stroll through the pastures. The house is 1100 square feet and has an open floor plan. The front porch acts as an extension of the living room, with a table for meals or a workspace. A wireless printer is available throughout the house and porch. One bedroom downstairs with a view of the backyard. There is a closet, bureau, and double bed available for guests. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and open bureau with an east view of the mountains. Dark blinds are available for sleeping in and a small workspace. The bathroom is spacious, with a large tub, handheld shower nozzle, and washer and dryer. If chickens are laying well you will have fresh eggs. There will be 2 horses on the property. They are both friendly and will greet you at the fence. If you want to bring your horses, I have an 80x90-foot corral with a few trees for shelter and plenty of fresh water. Good horse hay is available for 12.00 a bale. Horse cost is 25.00 per night per horse. There are beautiful trails in the nearby Gunnison National Forest. I could show you the trails or give you directions for trails. I live here. When guests are here, I take my dog and sometimes a horse camping. There will be times when I come get a horse for the day. I have camping spots that have cell service if you need me. I will meet you when you arrive to give directions and tips on the space and area. Guest access You have access to the whole house except for one upstairs locked closet.
