Description

Cute apartment in a gorgeous location with immediate beach access as well as gorgeous walks. A great place to relax and unwind from city life. The village is very quaint, but it has no shops or pubs, so you must bring provisions. The space Beautiful base in Ireland's Copper Coast. Perfect location to take advantage of the lovely scenery, hiking, water sports and horse riding. Also great If you want to just relax, unwind & commune with nature. Beautifully renovated little house/apartment in the The quaint village of Annestown in the sunny south east of Ireland. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat to commune with nature and explore the meandering coastline this is the ideal place to come. Breathtaking cliff walks and lots of hidden beaches to explore. Sea & river kayaking available nearby as well as surf lessons, horse riding & mountain bike tours. The apartment is across the road from the beach in the village. The building itself is quite old but was recently renovated and features stone walls, high ceilings and lots of sunlight. It has its own little courtyard out front. The courtyard separates the apartment from a an old thatched house. The sleepy village of Annestown is a cluster of little houses and a church a few hundred meters from the beach. There is no shop or pub but both can be obtained in the nearby villages of Dunhill and Fenor where there are lovely Irish pubs with food on weekends. There is a stunning nature walk along a little boreen by the River Anne to Dunhill Castle. Great historical sites nearby and the ruins of the old Copper Mines in Bonmahon. A few kilometres away is the fishing harbor of Boatstrand which is also a great place for swimming. Annestown is a also a popular surf spot. The Copper Coast was declared a European Geopark in 2001 and a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2004. Sea Kayaking, Surf School, Horse Riding & Mountain Biking all near by. Please ask for info. When I am away I leave the key for you and can supply you with all pertinent phone numbers and information via e-mail. There is a caretaker of the property that can answer all your questions too. There is public transport via the LocalLink bus service that connects Annestown to both Tramore and Dungarvan, but the bus times infrequent. Please search their timetable before you book. Make sure you bring provisions as there is no shop in Annestown. There are restaurants/bars 4km away however. Please note that things tend to close early in Ireland and many places stop serving dinner at 9pm. While we have a microwave and stove tops in the apartment, there is no oven, so please keep that in mind. Other things to note I came home to manage the listing in 2018, where I had the opportunity to redecorate and enhance the space. The wifi was updated in March 2020. Hope you will enjoy your stay.
