Set in 2 acres of gardens including pizza oven, wildlife pond, woodland and meadow with secluded shepherd's hut. A perfect base for exploring south Cornwall’s beaches, Falmouth, the Helford River and the wild Lizard Peninsula. The space On the edge of the small halmet of Boskenwyn just outside Gweek, this spacious Victorian granite farmhouse is the perfect venue for a family gathering or holiday with friends. Unlike many farmhouses, this house has very high ceilings and beautifully proportioned rooms. Once a busy working farm, Grambla is now home to us and our two young daughters. All the bedrooms have recently (2024) undergone a complete renovation, having been replastered and painted, with brand new luxury carpet fitted (undyed 100% wool). The bathroom has a new basin and loo suite. Downstairs, you enter the farmhouse kitchen with original slate floor, huge granite inglenook, Rayburn and central farmhouse table. Next door, the large dining room has two window seats looking out onto the garden, a fireplace with log burner and dining table seating 10. Next door, the cosy pink sitting room has a log burner and window seat. A door opens onto the conservatory, which in turn leads onto the back garden. Downstairs there's also a shower room with loo. Upstairs are five spacious bedrooms — two double rooms with kingsize beds, a double room and two children's rooms, one sleeping two, the other one. The spacious family bathroom has a rainshower and brand new ceramic loo and basin. The two acres of grounds at Grambla include lawns dotted with fruit trees and bordered by mature shrubs and trees, a wildlife pond, a patio area with pizza oven and seating, half an acre of woodland with den and campfire space, a wildflower meadow as well as a 10-foot trampoline, swings and two football goals. Hidden away at the end of the meadow is a secluded shepherd's hut with kingsize bed, log burner, solid wood kitchen with Belfast sink, gas hob, fridge, toaster and kettle, and ensuite bathroom with rainshower. Outside, there's a firepit, seating for 2, festoon lighting and swing seat. We have two lovely cats - Biscuit and Bramble - who live at Grambla Farm. They’re incredibly friendly, love a good scratch and sometimes come inside but they’re mostly outdoor cats during the day. They have access through a cat flap to the utility room where there is an automatic feeder but people with allergies should be aware. Grambla is brilliantly located for exploring south Cornwall, particularly the tranquil Helford River and the beautiful Lizard Peninsula. Falmouth is easily reached along the A395, and foodie Porthleven is a 10-min drive. There are lots of beautiful beaches within a 20-minute drive and the area has some brilliant places to eat, from award-winning restaurants to cosy pubs and creekside cafes. Further afield, St Ives and Penzance are half an hour, Gwithian’s surf is 30 mins, and the north coast is about 45 mins.
