The River Hut

Private Deep Water Dock on the Sapelo River! The main house is approximately 1100 sq ft and features two bedrooms upstairs, each with queen beds and a pull out couch. There is one full bathroom on the upper floor and another on the downstairs level. The 250 sqft “Bunk House” features a twin over full bunk bed, additional full mattress underneath and a futon in classic coastal style. There's a full bath, additional fridge and kitchen sink. Things you’ll Love: • The beautiful Sapelo River and views from the bluff • This is a new renovation with new paint, appliances, linens, furniture, etc • Ample beds for guests to sleep • The easy access to the boat ramp and all the local wildlife • The quiet casual environment • The Generator should a storm cause power loss Things You Should Know: • The architecture is a quirky A-Frame with some sloped walls. That’s why it is likely the most economical VRBO listing with a private dock anywhere in the area. • The bluff above the river is over 20’ above low water. Although it is roped off, young guests or pets should be supervised and not play immediately on the edge. • Each building has a separate hot water tank, but neither are huge. Please don’t anticipate more than 2 hot showers back to back at a time in each building. After that they re-heat quickly. • The interior staircase leading to the bedrooms is a bit steep. Guests who have difficulty with stairs may consider making the Bunk House their sleeping accommodations instead of the main house. • The water is deep, but a previous owner discarded some things from the fixed dock that may or may not be visible. Diving/jumping into the water from the dock is strictly forbidden. Feel free to reach out with any other questions prior to your stay!
