Easy access from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports by underground less than an hour. Leicester House Hotel has witnessed many historical events and hosted popular landmarks during its 300-year history. Karl Marx and his family lived in the hotel for three months in 1850 , and Marx started writing his popular “Das Kapital” here. Johann Strauss 1st, father of the Waltz dynasty in classical music and composer of the 'Radetzky March' lodged in the building on his first visit to England in April 1838. This gorgeous suite is named after the renowned historic figure Karl Marx. Following the European revolutions of 1848, the hotel became a refuge for political exiles from across Europe. In August 1849, Karl Marx, a prominent socialist leader and philosopher from Western Germany, arrived in London with his family. They stayed at Leicester House Hotel, where Marx began writing his influential work, "Das Kapital." They lived there for three months until 1850. This suite features a king-size bed and a bathroom with ceramic floors, separate bathtub and walk-in shower. It has wooden floors, a mini-bar with free water, a coffee machine, a kettle, tea and coffee. The room has 1 sofa bed, an armchair and a work desk.
