The A-Frame is set back away from the road, offering even more privacy and quiet. Other homes in Green Valley Lake have tiny lots, and neighbors are sometimes only 10 feet away! At Mountain Lake A-Frame, we own two lots, so you have more space around you. The neighbors are farther away, so you can enjoy your privacy. We also have an AUTO GENERATOR, so we are never without power. The power goes off a lot in these mountains, even in the summer (has happened twice already this summer of 2025) and also from snow storms in winter, but at Lakeside A-Frame, our auto generator kicks in immediately without you doing anything, so you stay warm or cool, connected, and bright no matter what happens. And your food is safe! Generators are RARE up in the mountains. We have all kinds of wildlife up here—deer, squirrels, hawks, birds, mountain lions, bears, and more! There are plenty of hikes in the surrounding area and incredible vistas to take in the high-altitude views. WINTER GUESTS: We do not offer discounts or refunds for road conditions. We will plow the parking spot and shovel the steps into the cabin prior to your arrival. If there is snowfall during your stay, you can use the snow shovels and salt provided, or arrange with us to book snow removal at a fee. Snow cover is expected and is outside the hosts' control. Please take note of this. Please check the road conditions, as 4x4 capability, studded tires, and tire chains may be REQUIRED from 11/15 to 4/15. This ensures conveyance to/from the cabin on various steep roadways that are guaranteed to be icy. This is your responsibility. Hosts are not available to assist with immobilized vehicles either on or off the premises. SUMMER: You can rent boats, go fishing, and even go swimming on the weekends. There is a boat house at the lake where you can learn more, and I have the pricing sheets in my photos. You can take the colorful towels located in the laundry closet to the lake. Fishing licenses and fees are required. FISHING: More than a dozen releases, from 250 lb to 800 lb, are scheduled throughout summer. You will need (in your possession) a State of California Sport Fishing License and a Green Valley Lake Daily Fishing Pass (available at the boathouse for $10-$20). The Green Valley Lake General Store carries bait, tackle, and supplies. You can fish all year with the CA Fishing License. The Green Valley Lake services are available May - October. Snow Valley and Snow Summit Bike Parks are Southern California's best lift-served downhill trails and cross-country riding. Both locations offer a range of downhill mountain biking trails, with Snow Summit's backside supporting over 60+ miles of cross-country trails. Guest access You will have the entire home and acre all to yourselves! There are paved parking spots on the road. The property is set back from the road, so all you hear is the wind through the trees. Keypad entry. Sometimes, the home is ready before 4 pm for check-in, and we send a message if this is the case. Sleeping for Four: We have a queen-sized bed upstairs in the loft. The couch pulls out into a comfortable sleeping bed of 6' x 4'. We also have a twin-sized air mattress. We have extra sheets in the laundry closet and blankets in the bedroom ottoman. There is no door to the loft upstairs, but there are curtains for privacy. Other things to note CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT: Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate late check-outs. Our check-out time of 10 a.m. is due to scheduling with the cleaning team. Thank you so much for understanding. If the house is ready early for an early check-in, I will send you a message the day of arrival. Sleeping for Four: We have a queen-sized bed upstairs in the loft. The couch pulls out into a comfortable 6' x 4' sleeping bed. We also have a twin-sized air mattress. There is no door to the loft upstairs, but there are curtains for privacy. We love animals, and your four-legged friends are welcome to visit. Please don’t let them up on furniture or the bed, as it is tough to remove fur from the sheets. Also, the property is not fenced, and there is all manner of wildlife in the mountains, so never leave your animal unattended or unleashed. Pets need to be house-trained, will not scratch furniture, and must have their own bed to sleep in. Please note that pets are not allowed to stay in the house alone (unless in a crate) or remain outside all night. Please take every precaution with your beloved pet and always clean up after them. The WiFi works great and I have been able to take work calls and video. It is a lovely place to work from.
