A modern elevator building, (no stairs to climb), includes on-site parking, a fitness room, and coin-op laundry. Self-serve breakfast provided. Your host resides in the apartment and welcomes you on arrival. Guests with activities outside the home during business hours are strongly preferred. This spacious apartment is on the 2nd floor of a contemporary elevator building with free parking on the premises. The room is fully furnished with a double bed, a large well-lit laptop-friendly workspace. Bureau and closet spaces are provided as well as hangers, a hairdryer and an iron. The kitchen is fully furnished and guests may use it to prepare simple meals. and store leftovers. Shelf space is available for guest foods inside and outside of the refrigerator. Sheets and towels are freshly laundered on arrival with plenty of hooks and racks to hang belongings. There is a fitness room on the first floor for use by residents that you can use as well as a coin-op laundry. All are asked to use earphones when consuming media at any time, including your host. Location is only minutes from the SONO Restaurant area, Metro North train stations, (60 min. to NYC), Routes I-95, the Merritt Parkway, and # 7 north as well as being steps away from the city bus routes. The host is neat, tidy, and respectful of her guests and expects the same in return. In addition to your private room, guests have access to the living room/dining areas as well as the kitchen, dishes and cookware. The private deck off the living room is also available for guest enjoyment. Private outdoor parking is available on the premises. Apartment has central air and wifi throughout and room includes laptop friendly workspace. There is a coin op washer/dryers that guests may use. For bathing, you have a private powder room (toilet and sink). We share the shower in the full bathroom. Breakfast is self-serve and I provide eggs, cornflakes, teas, coffee, 2% Lactaid milk, toast, and seasonal fruit. Guests may add their own extras. Guests may use my kitchen to prepare their meals and store foods. All are asked to tidy up after themselves in a timely manner. This includes washing their own dishes, pots & pans after use. Guests are asked to avoid heavy frying and limit meal prep to lighter meals that don't produce heavy or greasy fumes and odors. Foods and beverages may be consumed and stored in kitchen and dining areas, but please no eating or drinking on sofas, chairs, or in bedrooms. Please help avoid unhappy drips on the carpets or upholstery. I like things neat and clean so reserve the right to withdraw kitchen privileges if house rules are not respected and observed. Weekly/monthly guests wash their own sheets, towels, and personal items. Laundry detergent is provided on request. Machines are coin-op. I will welcome you upon arrival and make sure you have everything you need. Please call or text 45 minutes prior to arrival. The preferred check-in time is 5 pm - 9 pm. If a guest needs to arrive at another time, I will do my best to accommodate their request. Check-out time is 10 am - 12 pm on the day of departure. I am self-employed with an office off-site but sometimes need to work from home so I prefer guests who are in town for professional or personal activities outside the home during business hours. Location is near the corner of US-1 and Main Street in downtown Norwalk We have UBER and LYFT in Norwalk as well as several taxi services. We also have quite a good city bus service. There is a stop for one of the main bus lines right at the corner of School Street within easy walking distance. There is private guest parking in front of the building. The Metro North train ride to NYC is 60 minutes and runs hourly. The South Norwalk Train Station is 10 minutes away and the apartment is on many city bus routes. Uber and Lyft are available throughout the area. Scenic Calf Pasture Beach is a 15-minute drive and a wonderful place to unwind at the end of the work day. Breakfast is self-serve and I will provide eggs, cornflakes, seasonal fruit, tea, coffee, & 2% Lactaid milk. Extras? please bring on your own. First aid supplies are available.
