Hacienda Herrera is a rural accommodation in the middle of nature, surrounded by tropical jungle. We are 20 minutes from the city of Puerto Maldonado, on the banks of the Bajo Madre de Dios River, you will have an experience of authentic immersion in nature and the Amazonian lifestyle. The prices per night include meals, made with local organic products. We also offer exploration programs in the jungle and adventure sports... We are waiting for you! The space Our rooms are made with rustic local materials and big windows, ensuring good lighting and a unique connection with the surroundings and the sounds of the forest, providing safety and comfort during your experience in the rainforest. The rooms also count with a private rustic bathrooms. Guest access We have a dining room, an area to relax in the open air and a hammock area to relax in the main facilities. We also have a laundry area (lavatory) and if you like we can contact an external laundry service from the city. During your stay The attention is provided by us, Ruth and Kenny, who will accompany you during your activities inside Hacienda Herrera and during all your excursions, from the visit to the main attractions of the Tambopata National Reserve (Sandoval Lake) to adventure activities and jungle discovery (kayaking in the river, canopy, night hikes, search for alligators). We offer different DISCOVERY PROGRAMS to complement your stay with us. You can choose the one that suits you best and let yourself be enveloped by the magic and natural energy of our jungle. Prices per night do NOT include the Discovery Programs, which can be paid directly upon arrival at Hacienda Herrera. The prices of the Discovery Programs are expressed per person, for the complete program. ECOTOURS PROGRAM - HACIENDA HERRERA (2D / 1N) FEEL THE JUNGLE Check In: 10:00 am / Check Out: 11:00 am Day 1.- Pick up from the bus station or airport and transfer to Hacienda Herrera, after lunch we have a visit to our organic farm, then we will have a night walk through the deep forest, and dinner. Day 2.- Excursion to Cachuela Parrot Clay Lick, check out and return to the city. (3D / 2N) JUNGLE IN THE OPEN JUNGLE Check In: 10:00 am / Check Out: 11:00 am Day 1.- Pick up from bus station or airport and transfer to Hacienda Herrera, visit to our Organic Farm, lunch and dinner. Day 2.- Half day excursion to Sandoval Lake includes breakfast at the Tambopata National Reserve, return to the Hacienda, lunch, in the afternoon we will go on a Kayak tour of the river and on the way back we will go on a night walk in the jungle and have dinner. Day 3.- Check out and return to the city. (4D / 3N) AMAZON EXPEDITION Check In: 10:00 am / Check Out: 11:00 am Day 1.- Pick up from bus station or airport and transfer to Hacienda Herrera, visit to our Organic Farm, lunch and dinner. Half day excursion to Sandoval Lake including breakfast at the Tambopata National Reserve, return to the Hacienda, lunch, free time and rest and in the afternoon we will have an Amazonian cooking class, dinner. Day 3: Excursion to the Cachuela Parrot Clay Lick and return to Hacienda Herrera, breakfast, visit to the Inkaterra Canopy, return to the Hacienda, lunch, free time and rest. In the afternoon we will do piranha fishing in Lake Yacumama, return to the lodge and dinner. Day 4: Breakfast. Check out and return to the city. (5D / 4N) TROPICAL ADVENTURE Check In: 10:00 am / Check Out: 11:00 am Day 1.- Pick up from the bus station or airport and transfer to Hacienda Herrera, accommodation, lunch, in the afternoon we have a visit to our Organic Farm, and dinner. Day 2.- Half day excursion to Sandoval Lake includes breakfast in the Tambopata National Reserve, return to the Hacienda, lunch, free time and rest and in the afternoon we will have the Amazonian cooking class, dinner. Day 3.- Excursion to the Cachuela Parrot Clay Lick and return to Hacienda Herrera, breakfast, visit to the Inkaterra Canopy, return to the Hacienda, lunch, free time and rest. Other things to note Food: All meals are super natural and prepared by a family cook, we use many organic products from our farm and what the forest provides us in the different months of the year, avoiding excessive consumption of meats and processed products. Children from 5 to 8 years old pay ONLY 50%. Our rates INCLUDE: TRANSPORTATION from the city to Hacienda Herrera, ACCOMODATION, all MEALS from check-in (13pm) to check-out (10am).
