Located in the newly renovated Riverside community with easy access to Munger Trail, the Western Waterfront Trail, Spirit Mountain and I-35. It's about a 10 minutes drive to Canal Park/downtown Duluth and is only two miles from West Duluth stores and restaurants. My house is licensed by the city and is up to code with the fire department with fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors installed. The upstairs bedroom is large with a queen size bed and a small bathroom with a shower and tub just outside the door. The bed has a medium soft latex topper for extra comfort. There is an enclosed lounging area in the front porch, a small, fairly private back deck and a kitchen with a breakfast nook, cooking utensils including a French press and coffee grinder (NOTE: Please provide your own coffee if you want to use the French press but do not use flavored coffee in the grinder). Guests are welcome to use kitchen utensils, but not the cast iron pan. Please clean up after yourself immediately after using the kitchen and put things away where you found them. Food in the house is off limits. Guests are to provide their own food and drink items. The house is my primary residence so space in the refrigerator and freezer are limited depending on how much I keep in store. Guests are welcome to use the living room if I am away. The living room has two couches, a coffee table, TV (no cable), and a reading room with a chair and record player. Use of the record player is prohibited but you are welcome to use the entertainment system under the TV as long as the volume is kept low. During the warm months you may turn on the ceiling fans and window air conditioning unit. The house stays fairly cool during the summer as long as the windows are closed. The enclosed front porch has seating and tables and is a good spot to enjoy the view in the morning. I'm away most every weekend but May occasionally stop by. Also, please do not touch my vinyl record collection or record player. Thank you. Access to upstairs bedroom, bathroom, main level kitchen, living room, front porch, back deck. The laundry is in the basement and is available only upon request. I won't typically be around but am easy to reach by phone/text if necessary. If possible I'll be there for check in. Guests will generally have the kitchen and living room space to themselves unless I stop am also there. Riverside is a nice community located in West Duluth. It's located just enough off the grid to have a relaxed feel, yet not too far away from downtown. The nearby trails are great for exercise and exploring so bring a bike if you'd like, or enjoy a walk on the Western Waterfront Trail. It is also about two miles from most of the stores, bars and restaurants in West Duluth and access to HWY I-35. Nearby places of note: Wussow’s Concert Cafe is about seven minutes away and is a good spot for coffee and lunch/breakfast/live music. It's a two minute drive to the Riverside Bar and Grill. The Italian Village restaurant is another good spot for lunch or dinner, and is only two miles away. Super One grocery and liquor stores are also about two miles away so it's easy to stock up on any household items. There's a Walgreens pharmacy about three miles away. So everything is you might need is easily accessible. Also nearby are Papa Murphies take and bake pizza and VIP pizza. There are many places and things to see in Duluth so explore and enjoy! I'd also recommend checking out The Duluth Experience for great ideas while you're in town. http://www.theduluthexperience.com/ There is a bus stop about four blocks away and it's about a $10 cab ride to downtown Duluth. Please keep things quiet after 10 PM. Low tv/music volume is acceptable. Iron and ironing board available in the main bedroom. Hair dryer is located on the closet shelf in the bathroom. Off street parking is available for one vehicle.
