Transportation, grocery, medical stores, etc. are readily accessible - Price comparable to local hostels The space The apartment is the top floor of a 3 story building. It is a studio apartment with a full/double sized bed that sleeps 2 and extra floor bedding for 1 more person. It is fully equipped with private kitchen, dining and living area. Bathroom is private and exclusive to you. It is not attached to the room but is on the same floor, just across the corridor. All amenities are only for you and is not shared with any other party/individual. The property also has a terrace out looking the garden and rooftop with mountain/hillside views. The property sits inside a tightly knitted gated community providing extra security. Some hosting staffs live in the building (different floor), so any inconvenience/concern can be addressed immediately. Guest access Guests have access to the shared front yard and rooftop. The Terrace is privately provided for the guests - other occupants in the property might pass through but cannot use the terrace. Other things to note We are always available to answer any questions you may have. For your convenience, we have listed some information below that will help during your stay. Winter notes - First off we would like to remind you that it is peak winter season and temperatures can drop as low as 2 degree C. We will provide electric space heater and electric blanket but we do not have central heating. Please pack some warm clothes. If it gets too cold we can provide extra LPG/propane heater, you will be responsible for the cost of fuel. 1. Direction to the apartment - Please use google maps to find "Lilens homestay" or "RDX moto". When you are on your way to the property, please give us a call/whats_app on the number that has been provided to you so that we can be ready for you. 2. Key pick up - When you get to the property using direction above, you will see a business named “RDX moto”. You can either ask the staff in RDX moto or contact via phone/whats_app if our staff is not already there to receive you. 3. Contact info and emergency contact - We will provide you with a guest info sheet upon your arrival which will have contact info and emergency contact phone numbers. Sharing your Whats_App contact with us will make communication easier. 4. Other information: Drinking water - Tap water is always available and free. For drinking water we will provide a 20 liter jar of drinking water (might not be full), with a dispenser. The dispenser might be out of charge, charger is provided. If you run out of water during your stay, you will be responsible to refill. Please feel free to find another alternative, however, we do not recommend drinking tap water anywhere in Kathmandu. Boiled and filtered is ok. Laundry - Laundry service is available upon request for additional charge. Please contact listed phone number for laundry service. Electricity - It is normal to experience occasional brown outs in Kathmandu, for such cases we have provided you with emergency lights. Wifi - Wifi and password are written in the guest info sheet. Gas - Kitchen stove and hot water run on independent gas cylinders. You will not have hot water if the gas runs out. If you run out of gas please inform us. We provide the first refill free of cost (usually lasts for more than 30 days). You will be responsible for the cost of refills. Cleaner - We provide free house keeping service 2 times a week. Please let us know if you are interested. Home cooked meals from host and family - Please let the host know if interested. You will have to inform/sign up for meals a day before. Local restaurants - Phone number/information can be provided upon request. If you have any other questions and concerns please let us know.
