Over the past 5 years, we have diligently planted over 500 native trees and plants on our property, contributing to reforestation and landscape preservation. Furthermore, a portion of our proceeds is donated to local conservation efforts through CorClima. For your convenience, we provide a comprehensive house manual that includes WiFi codes. Enjoy the high-speed fiber optic cable at 100 Mgb for seamless connectivity. Help us keep Monteverde and the planet green. Water is potable in Monteverde (and in most of Costa Rica). No need to buy plastic bottles. Please note that being nestled in the forest, it is possible for small insects to make their way inside. Rest assured, they pose no danger. In fact, they play a vital role in sustaining the ecosystem by nourishing birds, frogs, and other wildlife, as well as supporting our own food sources. Mini ants like to come and explore food at certain times of the year. They are not harmful. If they find there way in during your visit, you can use peppermint essential oil (provided) across windows helps keep them at bay as does keeping cooking oil in fridge and kitchen clean after use. Let us know if we can help. Safety & Peace of Mind: As with most popular travel destinations, we recommend securing all doors with the bolt when leaving the home and keeping personal items stored safely (including in vehicles). These simple steps help avoid any inconvenience during your stay.
