The current is strong, swimming would be a risk as there are no life guards but at low tide there are lovely pools you can soak in. It is a forty minute drive to the south & west coast where the sea is flatter & safer for swimming. Between a 7-10 drive there are two small supermarkets, two small hotels with restaurants, rum shops (bars) which also offer local Bajans cuisine. The famous Soup Bowl for surfing, Andromeda Botanical Gardens & PEG farm & Nature Reserve with a restaurant offering biodynamic locally grown produce & hikes are all with on a 10 drive.
