Away from the tourists yet close to the most beautiful, deserted beaches, breezy, safe, upscale residential neighborhood. NO NIGHTLIFE in walking distance! Suitable for travelers seeking peace and nature. Car is not necessary but recommended! Reliable 250 Mbps internet. The space Forget the South or West coast! Too crowded, too hot, very noisy, dogs barking all night long, eroding beaches and way too expensive tourist trap. This spacious and clean house is located on the south east part of the island known for its cooling, Atlantic breeze. It's walking distance to the 5 most beautiful, uncrowded beaches. With its rugged, beautiful scenery the quiet and friendly Belair neighborhood is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the south and west coasts. The apartment is on the ground floor, has a private entrance from the garden, includes a living room, fully equipped kitchen and a full bathroom as well as outdoor shower. ADDITIONAL AMENITIES: Access to a washing machine. 2 boogie boards, 2 yoga matts, safety deposit box, reliable, fast internet, outdoor brick grill, outdoor hot & cold totally private shower. LOCATION: The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. However the best beaches are 15-30 minutes away or 5 minutes by car. They include: Shark Hole (no sharks, I promise) - Bottom Bay Beach (our favorite!) - Crane Beach (best for boogie boarding) - Ginger Bay - Sam Lords Castle Beach - Plus a few more secret beaches, which we're happy to share with you! 15 minute drive to the airport 20 minutes to Oistins Fish Market, 30 min drive to the night life area in St. Lawrence Gap ACT LIKE A LOCAL: We have been coming to Barbados for 25 years now and are familiar with the best beaches and sight seeing. We have a map upon request, which highlights the best places to see. There is a well equipped Emerald City Supermarket at Six Roads, 10 min drive. Car is recommended. The bus stop is 2 min walk. The location is unique because it is away from the touristy areas of Barbados. Instead you'll find stunning beaches that have very few visitors but plenty of fresh coconuts to eat and drink. :) Guest access Access to a washing machine, dishwasher, 1 boogie board, 2 yoga matts, Bose SoundTouch mp3 player, beach umbrella, fast & reliable internet, outdoor brick grill, outdoor hot & cold private shower, hair dryer, TV with a firestick, safety deposit box, AC (rarely needed) for additional $10.-/night/room (if used), ceiling fan in every room. Baby crib, chair, car seat, toys, floats, you name it. Other things to note My favorite beaches:  Shark Hole (no sharks there, I promise), Sam Lord's Castle beach (natural pool at the very end), Dawlish (use only when the sea is calm), Ginger Bay and Crane are all in the walking distance. Crane beach is the best for boogie boarding (feel free to use mine) Miami & Dover Beach are on the south. The calmest sea, suitable for kids & elderly is on Carib (right next to St. Lawrence Gap) and Brownes beach (just before Bridgetown). West coast beaches are are more narrow (eroding) and also much more touristy. I highly recommend a day trip to Batsheba, Martin's Bay on the East coast. Animal Flower Cave and Little Bay on the north side of the island. Its absolutely beautiful. The sea is very rough there, but you can still take a swim at the small pools inside the cave and on the little beach protected by the reefs at Little Bay, so wear bathing suit everywhere. Leave early in the morning. It may take more then an hour when you hit the traffic. Bring your camera. If you like gardens, the Hunte's Garden is an absolute must. Bridgetown is not very nice city, except of the Waterfront cafe, there is really nothing pretty to look at. I would certainly avoid it at night, not safe, watch for your belongings! What I can recommend is a Catamaran cruise and the Mount Gay rum factory.
