(across from High Country Cabinets-2850 Tynecastle Hwy) Stay straight to the right onto Creekside Drive. Park on end by stream. Chalet is the last one on the Right side top at 82B Creekside Drive. *Chalet is on the same side of 184 as The New Wilderness Alpine Slide, Food Lion and The Painted Fish Restaurant. If you come in on 105 from Boone, check out Lost Province, AMB, Stickboy, Proper, Melanie's, Basil's, Peabody's Bottle Shop, and Booneshine. From Boone, you will pass Grandfather Vineyard and Profile Mountain on your left of 105N. (Profile is our favorite hike & only 6 minutes away from Chalet). From Blowing Rock, check out Blowing Rock Brewery and the quaint Shopping District and park. The Blue Ridge area has several good vineyards, breweries and restaurants that have live music most days/nights. Engage in World Class Hiking, Rafting, Golf, Biking, Horse Back Riding, Zip-lining, Gem Mining, Skiing, Tubing, Kayaking and other activities. We bought in this exceptional location because when we would make plans in nearby Blowing Rock and Boone, we typically ended up in Banner Elk. You can day trip to Asheville or Yadkinville (Wine Country) about 1.30 hrs away. Johnson City is only 52 minutes. Lineville Falls and Caverns are a must see. Visit all the beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes in the area. (Elk River, Otter, Cascades, Laurel Creek...) The Blue Ridge area is very Pet and Family Friendly. (It boasts a dog park, trails, Duck Lake and May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center...) Enjoy the Chalet for a Romantic getaway. Indulge by ordering take out from Cam Rhan or Banner Elk Lodge & Cafe.
