Canyon Lodge is one of the 3 ski lodges at the base of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and features a ski school, ski rental shop, an indoor and an outdoor bar, as well as a cafeteria, coffee bar, and lift ticket sales. Canyon Lodge also features 4 lifts and both group and private ski school for toddlers, beginners, and skiers of all ability levels. The Village Gondola goes to and from Canyon Lodge and the Village restaurants and shops. It operates daily until 6 p.m. Free shuttle bus service is provided by Mammoth Mountain and operates on the 1/2 hour. Summer features: During the summer, there is access to the Big Ring trail on Mammoth Mountain Bike Park. This trail is uphill. With a lot less effort, you can ride downhill to the Village and start mountain biking from there. A lift pass is required to ride on Mammoth Mountain Bike Park. Common Area Features: The Mammoth West common area features a game room, seasonal central barbecue, and an outdoor spa that operates year round. The property also has a seasonal central outdoor pool which is generally open from June thru mid September. The Mammoth West game room is one of the last still available in all of Mammoth.
