Hacienda Chan Chan is nestled in the mountains high above Cuenca. The TreeHouse is even higher up, possibly the world's highest (elevation) tree house. It is remote and secluded, the ideal get away for adventurous travelers. We now offer guests a ride up to the treehouse on horseback when they arrive and a ride down when they leave (or car). Guests will need to coordinate with us to arrange a time. Check in needs to be before 6 pm. It is difficult to get to the treehouse after it is dark. The space Want to sleep among the trees on the side of the mountain at an elevation of over 10,000 feet and willing to hike 10-20 minutes to get there (including a final stretch of 100 steps)? If so, the TreeHouse may be for you. It offers sweeping views of the valley and Cuenca off in the distance, great hiking, and seclusion, but not without the amenities of WiFi, 24 hr hot water, a small kitchen, and a wood stove to keep you warm at night. Guest access You will have access to 90 Hectares (250 acres) of mountains pastures, river valleys and forest trails. You can explore the entire farm. The Treehouse is all yours and very secluded, you will have plenty of privacy. Other things to note Included in the price is a car ride up the mountain. The TreeHouse has one very comfortable double bed and one not-so-comfortable fold out sofa. It will work well for a child, maybe even two, but won't be very enjoyable for adults. Breakfast and other meals are not provided nor offered. Guests will need to bring food to cook and eat. Please come prepared. Regarding pets, we do not allow them.
