Estancias Bajo Sombra is a natural sanctuary in Santander, just 2 km from historic Socorro and very close to Barichara and other heritage villages. Surrounded by birds, mountains and trails, it offers peace, wellness and adventure. Enjoy biking, birdwatching, swimming and pure silence. The space Breakfast is included in the rate. It is a comfortable and spacious room with a private bathroom, hot water, king size bed, mosquito net, night tables, refrigerator and closets. Large deck-type social area with hammocks and views of the gardens and a charming lake with lotus flowers. The property has a main house where the hosts live and a separate typical Caney-type building where the room is located. Maximum capacity 3 people. A third person pays an additional cost of 75,000 COP per night. In a 60 km diameter we have mountain bike routes between two Natural National Parks (Serranía de los Yariguies Natural National Park) in which you can have the experience of different Thermal floors; passing from 350 in the Chicamocha canyon and the Suarez River basin (with semi-desert areas) to 3,400 subparamo as in the Serrania de los Yariguies. And at 3900 in the Paramo de la Rusia (Guanentá Alto Río Fonce Flora and Fauna Sanctuary) with one of the largest oak forests in America. It is surrounded by native forest which shelters it with cool shade and in which there is also cultivated coffee and different varieties of heliconias; which are home to a wide variety of birds and small forest animals. It is a Caney-type room with two rooms with capacity for four people each, with a large bathroom, hot water and minibar. Guest access Breakfast is included in the rate. You can enjoy trails, the shared pool, Finnish sauna (at an additional cost), hammocks, a desk to work, a private kitchen and dining room, parking, among others. We have Wi-Fi. During your stay We have a great fondness for mountain biking and La Estancia has a parking lot and washing area for bikes. We are pleased to share the charm of this region and will be happy to introduce you to its most wonderful natural attractions and exciting routes. Other things to note In our forest you will have the possibility to observe almost 62 species of birds and we have 162 species registered. For mountain bikers we have a parking lot and washing area for bicycles. We grow ORGANIC COFFEE. You can also find 20 varieties of heliconias that attract a wide variety of hummingbirds.
