City Tax (Accommodation Tax of the City of Karlsruhe) The City of Karlsruhe charges a mandatory accommodation tax per overnight stay and per guest. The tax amounts to: • €4.00 per guest per night (01 January 2026 – 31 December 2027) • €4.50 per guest per night (from 01 January 2028) The City Tax is not included in the booking price and will be charged separately. The tax applies to both private and business stays. Children and adolescents up to the age of 18 are exempt. As accommodation providers, we are legally required to collect this tax on behalf of the City of Karlsruhe.
