Cabin in Del Norte

Come join us for a getaway in our cozy cabin near the Rio Grande on a centennial cattle ranch. Whether you want to enjoy your stay trophy trout fishing, skiing at Wolf Creek, climbing at Penitnete Canyon, mountain biking on the trails of Del Norte, or just relaxing in the cabin watching the working ranch around you, we know you will enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of this little slice of heaven along the Rio Grande! When planning, keep in mind that our grass-fed beef is available for purchase! The space Beautiful little cabin with exquisite meadow views down to the banks of the Rio Grande. There's a full kitchen for making yummy meals, and a grill outside for summer BBQ needs. Downstairs you'll find a queen bed in the sunny front room, a full pull-out sofa in the living room, a full bath with a shower, a gas fireplace and a TV with an Amazon fire stick and wi-fi. There is also a loft, be we are no longer advertising this as a sleeping space due to safety concerns. We feel like this cabin best fits two to three people, but four good friends or a couple with kids might not feel too cramped. If you're a cozy group and don't mind sharing one bathroom, this cabin can comfortably sleep up to four people. Guest access You have access to the whole cabin and can enjoy walks on the ranch and along the Rio Grande. Ranch life can be busy, but if we can, we are happy to help with requests to see any farm animals that may be around (cows, horses). Please understand that while we will make every effort to be here when you check in, we have provided self check-in details so you can access the cabin if we are unable to be there in person. We are often in remote spots chasing cows, fixing fence, feeding, irrigating or haying, and we simply cannot guarantee that we can meet and check-in every guest. If this makes you uncomfortable, PLEASE tell us and we will try to be there to check you in. We may also be out of town occasionally but will communicate with you about this before you arrive. In the event that we are not physically on-site, we will provide the contact information of another ranch resident who can assist you should any issues arise. Other things to note The cabin is located on a working cattle ranch. Please be aware that ranch activities will be going during the daytime and you may encounter cows on the roads, in the meadows, and generally around and about. You will also encounter our friendly ranch dogs. They roam around freely and I cannot lock them away, so please be aware of this if you’re uncomfortable with canines. There's wonderful hiking down by the river, and, of course, some excellent fishing too. We would be happy to show you how best to access the river walk and fishing spots, so don't hesitate to ask! We also have ranch-raised, grass-fed beef for sale and would love to supply you with burger or steaks to eat here or take home. Just reach out and we can let you know what cuts are currently available.
