We will be available by phone and live a short 15 min drive away in case you need anything. Our home is situated in a very secluded, peaceful and rural area; please be respectful of our neighbors. Below are a few things (among many) to do in the area: -Hiking: Rancho Seco Recreational Area and The Consumnes River Preserve are both great options for hiking and recreational activities. Rancho Seco is about 15 minutes away and also offers water activities as there is a large lake in the area. The Consumnes River preserve is about 25 minutes away but is larger and has more trails and hikes. The neighborhood itself is also quite serene and great for evening walks. -Wine Tasting: Brave Horse Winery is very close by and they offer private wine tastings but you'll have to book in advance. (https://bravehorsewinery.com/) There are also over 80 wineries about 25 minutes away in Lodi (https://www.visitlodi.com/wineries/lodi-wine-trail-map/). They always have a ton of events going on on Saturdays, if you will be around. If you have a bit more time, the Plymouth area is FANTASTIC for wine tasting. (https://amadorwine.com/wineries/) It is about 35 minutes away but well worth it. Most of the wineries there offer free tastings and have a great variety. I highly recommend the Jeff Runquist winery, one of my personal favorites! -Downtown/Venues/Restaurants: Downtown Sacramento is a great place to hang out. Old Sacramento is a cute little area of Sacramento where they have preserved and renovated the older buildings. (http://oldsacramento.com/) There are some great restaurants and shops in the area. The California state capitol building and museums offers tours all of the time (http://capitolmuseum.ca.gov/the-museum/general-info) There are also some amazing restaurants in the midtown area: Cafeteria 15L, Ramen House Ryujin, Station 16, Biba (the best Italian place), Bacon and Butter (fabulous for brunch). For something closer, the Elk Grove area has a number of restaurants and a (very) small downtown area. Boulevard Bistro, Journey to the Dumpling, Hokee Poke, and Thai Chili are all great options. Please let us know how many guests will be staying so we can set out the appropriate amount of linens, towels, etc. Additionally, please let us know if you will be bringing any pets, and how many. Thank you!
