This beautiful 2200 sq. ft adobe home built steps away from the Urubamba River is the perfect city rush escape.  It is safely located inside a private condominium only 5 mins from Urubamba's main train station to Machu Picchu.  Urubamba is also known as Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is a magical town full of mysticism, history, ruins, adventure sports and great gastronomy.  The possibilities are endless for you to have a memorable trip. The space SONQO WASI (Quechua for Casa Corazon) is located in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 50 mins away from Cusco. We provide airport pick up if needed. The house is perfectly located only a short moto taxi ride away from Supermarkets, local restaurants, shops, the main bus station, 5 Star Hotels, the main square, church, the river, the food market, etc. Urubamba is full of mysticism, history, ruins, adventure sports (water rafting, zip lining, extreme downhill, etc.) and great gastronomy. It is also home to many foreigners who visited the Valley and never left. One of the many good things about Urubamba is that although it is a rural location, you can always enjoy the benefits of the several 5 star hotels in the area such as fancy Spa's and high end restaurants. There are many activities to enjoy close by and places to visit such as Pisaq, Maras y Moray, Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes, Salineras, Cusco, etc One of the many reasons visitors are choosing to stay in Urubamba is due to the difference in elevation compared to Cusco which is 3,399 m. when Urubamba is 2,871 m. above sea level. Those who have trouble with altitude sickness will prefer to stay here. This mystical paradise is also well known for its Ayahuasca ceremonies, coca leaf readings and shamanism, locals have a very deep respect for pacha mama (mother earth) and often thank her for all her blessings through offering ceremonies. Guest access The house is located inside a private gated condominium so only registered passengers will be allowed on site. Other things to note We offer daily housekeeping/local cuisine cook available for an extra$30 a day if you were to decide to have someone bring you fresh produce from the local market every morning for breakfast or any other meal.
