So much so that my fiancé and I are were married here in February of 2019. So my money is where my mouth is, so to speak. And we would love to host you on your first (or next!) visit to Vieques. Encantada is an open air, concrete eco-luxury villa that combines indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly together and gives you true enjoyment of nature in a remote island paradise. There is absolutely no glass in the entire house, yet the temperature is perfect. Featuring a 94 foot infinity pool steps from the kitchen, dining and living space, and garden path down to a gated beach entrance, this home is exactly what you've been waiting for and reading about experiencing in Vieques. Before you sleep you'll look up into the night sky and see the Milky Way, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter clearly and you'll realize how everywhere you usually travel has light pollution that ruins your star views. When you wake up in the morning you may see wild horses walking along the beach and hear waves crashing on the shore. At dusk, AKA "golden hour" you'll see the most beautiful sunsets reflected on the clouds and the coconut palm trees reaching up towards the sky west of the property. You will wonder why you should even leave for dinner at the phenomenal local restaurants when you could just cook hamburgers on the grill and drink beers and frozen drinks while the sun sets. OK, enough romance. Some quick facts about the house and property: - Encantada is a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk to Esperanza, the beautiful, sleepy fishing village on the southern coast that is quickly becoming the hub of tourism on Vieques. - The home features 6,000+ square feet of living space and comfortably sleeps 16. - There are five bedrooms (two of which have queen sleeper sofas in addition to their king size beds) + one office with a sleeper sofa. The office room is a semi-private living area with gorgeous Caribbean views off the upstairs hallway and does not have an en-suite bathroom. **Scroll down for a full room breakdown & please look at the floor plans in the pictures to see what the bedroom setup options are!** - There is a 94 foot infinity pool that sits just off the main living space and faces down towards the Caribbean Sea. - There is a walk way down from the pool to a gated beach entrance that opens onto Coco Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches I've ever seen. Victoria's Secret Swim 2015 was shot here on this beach. -There is beautiful landscaping including interior courtyard bamboo gardens, lush pool planters and multiple outdoor showers. - All of our appliances are brand new and high end. Wolf stove, Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, two pairs of washer and dryer, etc. Complete luxury. - Similarly all of our furniture is brand new, primarily Restoration Hardware brought in by containers from the mainland US and designed to be beachy, clean and modern and allow complete post-beach relaxation. - Beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, & coolers are all provided. You will just need to let our property manager know prior to arrival so that her team can set them up whichever way you'd prefer. Together, guests from each house can access the entirety of the property outside of the two individual homes, from the electronic gated main entry to the gorgeous beach front, also accessed by private gated entry.
