Description

Spectacular open-air bungalow / treehouse - wildlife, surfer & yoga paradise! Wake up to the call of the birds, howler monkeys and waves crashing. Enjoy the day and night with sounds, scents and sights of the jungle & ocean. Fall in love with the amazing view! You can look forward to a unique outdoor living experience with wildlife encounters, private yoga with a 360° ocean & jungle view, and great surf, only 3min walk to the beach of Punta Banco and 15min by car to Pavones. The space LOCATION & HOW TO GET THERE: We are located in the pristine tropical rainforest of Punta Banco, Pavones on the South Pacific Coast where the lush green jungle meets the blue pacific ocean. A region in Costa Rica that is regarded as one of the most biologically diverse places in the world. Sola Vista Eco Lodge is an 8 hours drive from San Jose (SJO). If you take an additional inland flight to Golfito airport (e.g. with SANSA air) you can reach us in about 3 hours. NO 4x4 needed to reach the lodge. Though, we recommend our guests to drive during daylight only and rent a car with high clearance due to the potholes in the last part! Private parking is available at the property. You can also take the public bus that is driving daily to Punta Banco and walk to our lodge. LODGE SET-UP: Sola Vista Eco Lodge consists of two identical rental treehouses. Each house is set up for two person only. Casa Sol: https://www.airbnb.com/h/solavista-ecolodge-casasol Casa Ola: https://www.airbnb.com/h/solavista-ecolodge-casaola The lower-level of the houses includes a bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bambu bed (high-quality matress, anti-allergic) and a separate bathroom. The rooms have very big mosquito screens, no glass windows. Through the bathroom you access the refreshing outdoor waterfall shower. The upper-floor is open and features a fully-equipped kitchen and a private multi-purpose deck with a breathtaking 360° ocean & jungle panorama. The perfect location for birdwatching and wildlife-viewing, enjoying your yoga practice, watching the surfers or simply relaxing in the hammock. The tap water at the lodge is fresh spring water with no chemicals added and save to drink – you will enjoy the noticeably fresh taste! We consciously don’t have Wifi at the rental bungalows - enjoy the beauty of being disconnected and totally immerse yourself into nature! (you can find Internet in the local soda down the road if needed.) Last but not least, Sola Vista Eco Lodge commits to stay environmentally low-impact, ecologically sustainable and sensitive to conservation and community issues. We are happy tell you more about it when you visit us :-) ACTIVITIES: - Watch the wildlife directly from the bungalow. - Go surfing in front of the bungalow or in Pavones. Surf lessons & coaching can be organized for you. (Board rentals offered at surf shop in Pavones) - Practice yoga on your deck or schedule a private yoga class with Denise (Hatha, all levels) - Go for a romantic low-tide beach walk, swim in one of the tide pools, refresh yourself at the waterfalls, relax in the shade of a palm tree. - Do a guided jungle tour on private trails at Tiskita - Do a guided horse-back riding tour on the beach and on jungle trails - Do a guided nature hike through the indigenous Guyamí territory and visit a native artisan family. - Do a guided boat tour including fishing, snorkling or watching whales & dolphines (depending on the season) - Rent a bicycle, motorbike or quad and explore the neighborhood. - Be part of a sea turtle liberation or a beach night patrol of the local Sea Turtle Conservation Project in Punta Banco (Depending on season, September-January). We can help you to get into contact with the right local tour guides. WHAT TO BRING Good flashlight or head lamp, sun block, hat, good hiking shoes, light weight and fast drying clothing, a basic 1st aid kit, and if you have binoculars. Other things to note GOOD TO KNOW: 🚗 There is no gas station in Punta Banco or Pavones. If you travel with a rental car, we recommend to fill your car up again in "Rio Claro de Golfito" on the way down to us. 💵 There’s no ATM in the area. In Pavones you can pay with credit cards in supermarkets and most of restaurants. Though, bring cash ($ or Colones) if you want to do activities such as horse back riding, surf lessons, yoga classes etc. and eating at the local restaurant in Punta Banco!!! 🍳You will have a small kitchen at your house with a small fridge, induction cooktop, rice cooker, blender, toaster and a coffee maker (works with ground coffee). Salt, pepper, sugar, oil & vinegar are provided. The tap water at your house is safe to drink. We recommend to buy your groceries in one of the supermarkets in Pavones. They offer more variety than the Mini Super in Punta Banco. 💡GUIDEBOOK: Inspirations for activities & restaurants you find on this link: https://abnb.me/lCsNybrtTEb
