Jungle house with river access - Casa Ikua

The house is located in the community of Nina Rumi, 1 hour (22km) from the city of Iquitos. The philosophy of the house is simple. We want to provide you with a space to relax, and if you like, take it as a space to learn from local knowledge and contribute to the area's development. Activities are available if you want, but it's also a space to enjoy the tranquility of the river and the Amazon. The space The IKUA house is in the community of Nina Rumi, on one of the town's main streets, and on the bank of the Nanay River. Living with the locals offers visitors the experience of community life. There might be days when you also hear music. If you're looking to be completely isolated, this wouldn't be the ideal place. On the ground you will find the house, the maloca and a large green space surrounded by tall fruit trees that offer shade and moments of learning about endemic species. Direct access to the river is another of the attractions and you can use it to travel the river by canoe or swim. Inside the house we have two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a bar for eating, kitchen and living room. * Temporary power outages (hours) have been experienced sporadically, so it is always good to take precautions (charge equipment whenever possible). Guest access The house has a kitchen and is equipped with the necessary utensils so that you can bring supplies or buy them in nearby stores and cook. We don't have a refrigerator, but there is a cooler that you can put ice in (several neighbors sell it at a very cheap price). You also have the option to ask Roxana to cook for you with her delicious seasoning. (We'll send you the menu from Roxana's kitchen) We have extra hammocks and rocking chairs typical of the region to use in the various areas of the house. We have 2 floats to enjoy the river. The paddle (SUP) is currently unavailable. Other things to note For a few months now, we've had the possibility of renting a kayak to paddle through the lake in the area overlooking the Nanay River.
