Beach Heaven - Modern Holiday Home in the Dunes

Striking modern beach house offers panoramic views of Nova Scotia’s beautiful Port Mouton Bay. Relax on the sun deck, stroll along the “private” beach. The space Built in 2010, Beach Heaven is a contemporary design with floor to ceiling picture windows running the width of the house. Overlooking the Port Mouton Bay, the views are of blue skies, white sands and shimmering seas dotted with islands. The main living space is dominated by the sun-filled open concept, kitchen, living and dining room. Cooking is a dream. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a full selection of beautiful dishes, good quality pots and pans, kettle and drip coffee maker (filters provided). The living room is playfully appealing with futuristic leather Leolux furnishings that are remarkably comfortable. The dining area has custom table, and bench, curved to hug the sides of the “Kachelofen”. Patio doors lead from the dining room out to a screened-in patio: my favourite spot to enjoy that first cup of coffee in the morning. There is an upper deck that runs the width of the living space and features a couple of lounge chairs and tempered glass rails so as not to obstruct the incredible view. Adjacent to the main living room on the main floor is a small walk-through room with a comfortable sofa and book shelf. Behind it you will find a large master bedroom with two Queen beds. This room features a wall of windows overlooking the ocean and Port Mouton island. Through the overhead skylights you may watch clouds or stars pass by ... you may listen to the sound of waves and deeply relax or even fall asleep. On the ground floor you find a second bedroom (2 twin beds), a large media room, a small den, and a utility room with laundry facilities. The bedroom has two twin beds that are configured into a king size bed and an ensuite 3 piece bathroom. The small den has a pull out couch and, if necessary, can be used as an additional bedroom. From the ground floor you can access a small private courtyard with a screened-in sun room with a big table and chairs and a nice sofa. From the garden, follow the private path to the beach. Guest access Apart from two private locked rooms, everything in the house and the grounds are available for your enjoyment. This includes the house, screened in gazebos and gardens. Please help yourself to the items in the pantry. Depending on the time of year, it is stocked with spices, coffee, tea, olive oil and more. Other things to note Beach Heaven has a maximum occupancy limit of 5 guests. Any more – even if it is visitors for the day – must be approved prior to arrival. There is a set of towels (Beach, Bath, Hand & two face cloths) supplied for each guest. A washer and dryer is available and can be used if you need to refresh the linens. There is a smart TV (no cable or satellite TV). Guests can access their personal streaming services e.g. Netflix, Disney+ on the TV. Internet is available at the home. Details will be provided in your welcome package. The Sauna is available year round. Whenever you want to use the sauna, the caretaker will start a fire for you and bring it up to temperature. He will also pour fresh water in the tub outside so you can take a cold dip after the sauna – just give him enough notice as it takes a couple hours to get up to temperature. Beach Heaven is heated with in-floor radiant heat and a heat pump. There is a tile stove in the living room that is not available for guests to use. It needs special knowledge to use it and can easily be damaged through improper use. Therefore, the tile stove will be locked. Please do not tamper with it! Registration Details STR2526B9633
