It is located in a port town called Shimotsui in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. In front of you is the Seto Inland Sea, and in the distance, Mt. Washu, in a rich natural environment. Shimotsui flourished as a port of call for merchant ships called "Kitamaebune" during the Edo period. Even now, the town is lined with traditional Japanese architecture such as thatched roofs, plastered octopus walls, insect cage windows, and lattice windows, giving it an Edo-era feel. The space ＜お部屋の紹介 ＞ ◆語らいの間： 16畳1間のLDKです。畳に布団をひけば寝室にもなります。当宿が大事にしている「大切な人としっぽりと語り合う」ための部屋です。細部にまで職人の手仕事が行き、落ち着きのある空間です。大きな特徴として、なんとこの部屋はガレージと繋がっています。例えば、バイク好きが「ツーリング仲間と愛車を肴にお酒を酌み交わす」といった思い出を作ることもできます。 ◆船の間： 8畳1間の船をモチーフにした寝室です。 瀬戸内海をイメージした青の土壁、葦簀の船底天井、組子障子が織りなす空間に、寝心地のよい「Serta」製のキングベッドが並びます。お一人でゆったりと贅沢につかっても、パートナーと一緒につかっても満足感の高いお部屋です。 ◆鶴と松の間： 8畳1間の鶴と松があしらわれた書院障子がアクセントとなった寝室です。この書院障子とその上の欄間は、解体された他の古民家から回収し再利用しました。 丁寧に創られた床の間はそののままに、「Serta」製のセミダブルベッド2台が並びます。 ◆和の間： 8畳1間の素朴な和室です。布団をひけば寝室になります。畳に障子、土壁に床の間といった日本人なら落ち着く空間です。 ◆ガレージ： バイクなら上手に並べたら10台は駐車できます。 自転車も同様です。 車なら2台は駐車できます。「語らいの間」と繋がっていることが特徴です。また、ガレージ入口前スペースでは洗車ができます。 ◆玄関土間： 8畳の十分な広さのある玄関土間です。一面に敷いた瀬戸内海をイメージした青いタイルが目を惹きます。当宿の改修工事のときに出てきた石を、束石に利用し、土間中央の束柱を建てました。今後、展示イベントや地域のコミュニティースペースとして利用したいと思っています。 ＜キッチン、トイレ、お風呂、ランドリーの紹介＞ ◆キッチン： 「自炊」可能です。2口 IH コンロ付きキッチン、家庭用冷蔵庫、炊飯器、レンジ、トースター、包丁、鍋、食器　等揃っています。 ◆トイレ： 洋式、水洗、ウォシュレット付（1室） ◆お風呂： バスタブ、シャワー、シャンプー等あり（1室） ＊トイレとお風呂は別室です。 ◆ランドリー： 洗濯機と乾燥機があります。長期滞在でも選択ができます。 ＜Room Introduction＞ ◆ Gathering Room: This is a spacious 29 square meters LDK room, convertible into a bedroom with futons. Crafted with meticulous artisanal details, it's designed for intimate conversations. Notably, it connects directly to the garage, ideal for creating memories such as enjoying drinks with motorcycle enthusiasts after a tour. ◆ Ship Room: An 15 square meters bedroom themed after a ship, featuring walls reminiscent of the Seto Inland Sea, a thatched ceiling like a boat's hull, and lattice sliding doors. Equipped with comfortable "Serta" king beds, it's perfect for both solo relaxation and shared enjoyment. ◆ Crane and Pine Room: An 15 square meters bedroom adorned with crane and pine motifs on traditional sliding doors salvaged from other historic homes. It includes meticulously crafted alcoves and two "Serta" semi-double beds. ◆ Japanese-style Room: An 15 square meters simple tatami room with shoji screens and earthen walls, offering a tranquil space conducive to relaxation. ◆ Garage: Capable of accommodating up to 18 square meters of motorcycles or bicycles, and 3.65 square meters for cars. It uniquely connects to the Gathering Room and offers a space for car washing at the entrance. ◆ Genkan: A spacious 15 square meters entrance hall featuring blue tiles evoking the Seto Inland Sea. Constructed with reused stones from the renovation, it includes a central pillar intended for future exhibitions or community events. ＜Kitchen, Toilet, Bath, and Laundry＞ ◆ Kitchen: Equipped for self-catering with a 4 square meters IH stove, household refrigerator, rice cooker, microwave, toaster, knives, pots, and tableware. ◆ Toilet: Western-style with bidet (1 room). ◆ Bath: Bathtub, shower, shampoo provided (1 room). The toilet and bath are separate. ◆ Laundry: Facilities include a washer and dryer, suitable for long-term stays. Guest access This is an entire house for rent, so you can enter all the spaces of the building and garage.
