Welcome to a cozy homestay in Karkkila! You’ll stay in a private room in our family home. We want you to feel as welcome as you would at a friend’s place. Your stay includes ready-made bed linen as well as coffee, tea and porridge supplies. You’ll have access to a guest lounge with a fridge, microwave and Elisa Viihde. You may also use the shared spaces and the sauna. In our home, you’re welcome to be part of our warm everyday life - as much or as little as you like. The space The room is located along the hallway of the house, in its own peaceful spot while still close to the shared spaces. Our home was completed in February 2023, so the facilities are new, clean and practical. The room has two single beds with ready-made bed linen. The room door has a basic lock. As this is a family home, the atmosphere is warm and cozy - not hotel-like or sterile, but relaxed and welcoming. Guest access Guests have access to a private guest lounge with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and TV. The lounge offers a small space for privacy and preparing snacks. The kitchen, washing facilities and utility room are located in the other wing of the house, but they are easy to access and available for guests to use. The kitchen has the basic equipment needed for cooking. The sauna has an always-ready electric heater, so it is easy to enjoy a sauna according to the house practices — just remember to close the heater lid after use. In summer, guests can also use the terrace and grill. The yard is still partly unfinished, but there is space to relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside atmosphere. During your stay Our guests can decide for themselves how much they would like to interact with our family and other guests. You can spend your time completely in your own privacy, or be part of the relaxed everyday life of our home if you wish. We are usually around and are happy to help you find local services, routes and sights in Karkkila. Two friendly Miniature Schnauzers also live in our home, and many guests find them a lovely addition to their stay. The most important thing for us is that you feel comfortable in the way that suits you best. Other things to note This is not a hotel, but our family home. We live here ourselves with our children and two friendly dogs, and the atmosphere is warm, genuine and relaxed. The room is private, but the kitchen, washing facilities and other shared spaces are shared with the household. The yard is still partly unfinished, but in summer the terrace and grill offer a nice place to spend time outdoors. The bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away, and Helsinki can be reached by bus in a little over an hour. Quiet hours are observed at night so that everyone can rest well.
