Feel at home in our loft, located in a renovated mid 60's familiy house. This modern-industrial loft has a cozy living room, sofa-bed, kitchenette, WiFi and a mezzanine with double size bed. The unit opens to a semi-private balcony for outdoor siting. Conquistadores, the neighborhood where is located, is 5 min by bus/taxi, 20 min walking or 10 min by bike to downtown Medellin and Laureles neighborhood. Grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and lots of parks are within walking distance. The space This loft is located on the second floor of a recently renovated building with beautiful local design and architecture. We took care of every detail so you feel in a unique place and will try to give you the best experience and service. We want you to feel this place is your home away from home. It is perfect for a couple looking for a centrally located place in Medellin, in what could be the best area in terms of urban planning in the whole city. It is easily accessible by biking and public transport. High-speed internet (WiFi) is available onsite with 2 internet providers, in case one of them fails. There is a secure front door to the house which is shared with guests of other lofts, and another door for entrance to the loft, to which you are the only one with access. This loft has an area of 26.6 mt^2 (286 ft^2), but its architecture will make you feel in a larger space. You will have access to a fully equipped kitchenette (stove, oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, pots, most common utensils); sofabed, coffee table, and dining table & chairs. From your loft, you have private access to the balcony (it is a shared platform with other lofts that is divided by plants and trees, so it feels semi-private as no one will pass next to your sliding door), which is located next to the living room, making this a cozy space where to hang out. The mezzanine (half-height) bedroom, which can be accessed through wooden loft stairs, has a small window for air circulation, with a double-size bed with 100% cotton linens and a portable fan in case it gets warm. There is also a small closet to store your belongings. Guests will have access to a sunny rooftop to enjoy the Medellin sun and breeze. You will find this place as an oasis in the middle of the city. Please note that this loft is on a second floor with access only through stairs and that the bedroom in the mezzanine is accessed through steep wooden stairs. Also, Medellín is a large, lively city. It can be noisy. It is also in the tropics and we get lots of sunshine (and sometimes bugs!). If you are sensitive to noise or light, we suggest that you bring earplugs and a sleep mask. Guest access Guests have access to the building's rooftop, featuring a large open area with plants and outdoor furniture. The house is next to lots of parks and about 8 minutes walk from "Parques del Río" park. Other things to note The loft is located on the second floor of a renovated old family house. As it is a house from the 60s, separated into mini apartments, it is not completely soundproof from the other lofts. Doña Amparo lives downstairs and has been in this building for more than 40 years. She is a quiet, polite, and lovely old woman, who most likely would like to welcome you and tell you stories. For a pleasant stay and to respect her lifestyle, we ask for "silent hours" and that our guests keep the noise down after 10 p.m. and before 8 a.m. *Important*: We have a *zero-tolerance policy* for prostitution, drug use (including tobacco), child abuse, and parties in the building. If you are into any of the above, look for another place to stay. We report these behaviors to the authorities and AirBnB, and they are causal to the termination of the agreement without reimbursement. *LONG-TERM RENTAL NOTICE:* For staying 10 days or more, please be aware of the following conditions: Starter Supplies: Upon your arrival, we will provide starter supplies such as shampoo, toilet paper, soap, and other essentials to make your transition smoother. However, please be aware that these are initial provisions, and it will be your responsibility to replenish them as needed. Weekly Cleaning Schedule: We conduct a general cleaning once a week. This includes the bathroom, kitchen, and floors. Please note that this cleaning is not intended for personal items such as organizing, folding clothes, or washing dishes. Maintenance Activities: Throughout the duration of your stay, there might be scheduled maintenance activities that coincide with your occupancy. This can include routine tasks such as gardening, servicing the water heater, pest control, or other necessary maintenance work.
