The cabin has been renovated and designed with the surrounding nature in mind, featuring a rustic living room & fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen and an outdoor patio & firepit. The Black River is 30 km long and is perfect for kayaking, canoeing and exploring. The space Just 1.5 hours north of Toronto with 140 ft frontage of the Black River, which connects to the Severn & Green River, your 4 season retreat at the Black River Haus awaits. The Space Inside: The Black River Haus is designed with the surrounding nature in mind for a cozy & rustic yet modern stay with beautiful details throughout the space. *Space is optimal for 4 adults and 2 kids max. We do not recommend the place for 6 adults. • Single story space with 3 bedrooms • Open concept rustic chalet-style living room with a gas fireplace • Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, kettle, microwave and stove • Dining/remote working area with panoramic windows • Renovated bathroom with shower • Onsite washer & dryer for your use (for 5+ night stays only) • Carefully curated Scandinavian and nature-inspired pieces • High speed Rogers Wifi available to connect, remote work, etc. • Canoe & kayak rental included (available June to Sept) • Snowshoes rental included (available Dec to Mar) • Other amenities include: Smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Spotify available for login, board games, record player, and more • No AC on site inside the property Bedrooms: • Bedroom 1: Double bed • Bedroom 2: Queen bed • Bedroom 3: Queen bed The Space Outside: • Large east facing deck with gas BBQ grill (year round) • Camp fire-pit and Muskoka chairs (available for use but not maintained during winter) • Parking space for max 3 cars • Private dock on the water with direct access to the Black River (available during summer only) *We are close to a train station in Washago, so you may hear the train from time to time. We are a licensed STR #2021.040 with the Township of Ramara. Guest access Free parking space for 3 cars max on site. We are in a peaceful, safe and quiet neighborhood of cottages/cabins. Other things to note • Please note we do not have AC on site, but the cabin is in a well treed area. During heat waves in the summer, it could get quite hot and we recommend our guests to use the ceiling fan and a portable fan is provided. • Please note that firepit & chairs are not maintained in the winter and so not available for use when there’s heavy snowfall, usually from Dec to Mar. • Please be respectful of our house rules and our neighbours as the cabin is not secluded. There are many cottages and cabins in the neighhourhood ans you will see a few cottages on the other side of the river during winter months due to trees losing leaves. • We have 2 security cameras for outdoor front porch area and back patio area, and 1 indoor noise detection device for excessive noise (device does not record any sound). • Dock and canoe/kayak are not available for use from Oct to May months due to snow / river current being too strong. • As we're in the woods, there will be bugs and mosquitos esp. when the weather gets warmer around May/June. We provide bug zapper and bug spray for your use. • Children are welcome, however the space is not child-proof and their safety will be the parents responsibility.
