This is an authentic teahouse building that remains in an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, which has been inherited and preserved by the family. * This accommodation is not a place where the exterior and interior have been completely rebuilt from scratch and beautifully designed with a focus on modern "Instagrammability." This town house, built in 1913, was inherited by our family, and we have preserved it, keeping it as original as possible. * If you are looking for a new, sophisticated, and modern interior design, we recommend other accommodations. You can enjoy the good old-fashioned relaxation that comes naturally. My wife's great-grandmother was a geisha in Shukeicho, and we still have a gold-leafed folding screen and photos from over 120 years ago that were used at that time. We also have valuable photos of geishas from the Meiji period and earlier preserved in an album. Photography was expensive in those days, so these are very valuable records. Additionally, my wife's grandfather was a local painter from Kanazawa, and his works depicting the daily life of the people in the teahouse district and the local area at that time remain on the sliding doors and shop curtains.
