This is a private rental townhouse in the Kazemachi Chaya District, built in 1913 (Taisho 2). This is an authentic teahouse building that remains in an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and has been passed down and preserved by the family. * Our accommodation is not a place that has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, both inside and out, and beautifully designed with a focus on a modern, "Instagrammable" aesthetic. My family inherited this townhouse, built in 1913, and we have preserved it, keeping it as original as possible. * If you are looking for a new, sleek, and contemporary interior design, we recommend other properties. You can enjoy the good old-fashioned healing that has always existed. My wife's great-grandmother was a geisha in this part of Kazuemachi, and we still have the gold folding screen and photos that were used at the time, which are over 120 years old. We also have an album with valuable photos of geishas from the Meiji period.Photography from this era is expensive and makes for very valuable material. Also, my wife's grandfather was a local Kanazawa painter, and his works depicting the lives of the people in the traditional teahouse district and the local area at that time can still be found on the sliding doors and shop awnings. On the second floor, there are rooms of 10 tatami mats, 6 tatami mats, and 4.5 tatami mats. Up to 5 sets of futons can be laid out in the 10-tatami mat room. (2 layers of memory foam mattresses) 2 layers of high-resilience mattresses are also available. Air conditioning available We can lay out up to 2 sets of futons in the 6 tatami mat-sized room.　Air conditioning available The 4.5 tatami mat-sized room is located between the 10 tatami mat-sized room and the 6 tatami mat-sized room. No air conditioning. Usually, we don't put futons here. We can move the futons to a different location if you wish. There is also a toilet on the 2nd floor. On the first floor, there is a room about 8 tatami mats in size, a kitchenette, a washroom, a bath, and a toilet. Air conditioning is available. Guest access The stairs leading to the third floor are very steep, and we do not have a license to use them as part of the accommodations, so they are off-limits.
