The room is bright and simple, designed for comfort and rest, with natural light and a calm atmosphere. Although the apartment is private, it sits within Mahakala Center. Mahakala Center is made up of three main buildings surrounded by olive trees, gardens, village homes, and the natural sounds of daily life. Mahakala Retreat Building is a three floor house with seven rooms and several shared spaces. This is the main house where we host retreats outside the high summer season (mid June to mid September in 2026), and it also welcomes guests for short stays throughout the year. The house has several levels and a warm, home-like atmosphere. On the ground floor, we have two bedrooms and a shared living and dining room that feels like a welcoming home. There are shelves of books, soft seating, warm colors, and often the smell of fresh food coming from the kitchen counter. This space opens directly onto the jasmine covered terrace, the heart of the house, where people gather, read, eat, or simply sit with the view. On the first floor, we have two bedrooms and the yoga shala., On the second floor, there are three bedrooms., On the third floor, we have the rooftop jacuzzi with views of the horizon. Attached to this building is Sunny Café, a bright, leafy corner serving simple vegetarian meals, homemade treats, coffee, and herbal teas. It is a place to linger, meet others, or enjoy the warmth of the sun. Directly across from the retreat house sits our apartment building, The ground floor hosts our main production kitchen and the office, and above it are three private apartments, one on each floor. These apartments are fully private, each with its own design, kitchen, bathroom, and large terrace with a view of the sea and the mountains. On the other side of the property is our parking area. Past it, a small path leads down to our Montenegrin stone house. The upper level around it is our relaxation area, an outdoor space with wooden loungers, a hammock chair, natural shade, and open sky. It feels like entering a quiet environment shaped by nature, light, and the gentle rhythm of village life. At the far end of this relaxing area is our small garden, where we grow vegetables and herbs used in our kitchen. Guest access You have full access to the space you are renting, including your bedroom, bathroom, and any Shared terrace or living room, Shared spaces in the Mahakala retreat building. For the rest of Mahakala Center spaces, please be sure you read the text below: Note: The rooftop jacuzzi is available for an additional fee and can only be booked and used during the summer. If you wish to use it, please let us know in advance. The yoga shala is also available for individual use during the summer at specific opening hours, free of charge. Paid and facilitated yoga classes will be offered on the website if it’s available. Throughout the year, all guests can access the outdoor relaxation area, which includes the outdoor stone bath and shower, nature sounds, and open sky. Sunny Café is also available to guests when open, serving only juices, water, tea, coffee, and homemade cookies and treats. Other things to note 1. Mahakala Center is located in a real Montenegrin village. You may occasionally hear neighbors, dogs, or everyday village activity. 2. The beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk downhill. 3. In July and August the area becomes more lively and busier. If you prefer a quieter stay, consider visiting outside the high season. 4. Parking is available on our property for an additional fee of 5 euros per day. Please let us know in advance if you need a parking spot so we can reserve it for you. 5. The tourist tax of 1 euro per person per day is not included in the booking price and will be charged separately upon arrival.
