The space IMPORTANT NOTICE Dear Guests, We are delighted to welcome you to our home. Before anything else, we want you to enjoy this place to the fullest. I invite you to read our guests reviews and learn from their experiences living in the house and San Marcos ABOUT THE HOUSE Solid beautiful house, constructed with real stones and cypress wood. Fireplace in the living room and master bedroom. Italian marble floors, spot lights with dimmers in every room of the house. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances, it has a fridge and freezer, water dispenser, washer and dryer, hot water 24 hours and pump for strong water pressure. All linens and towels are 100% cotton. The master bedroom is a 80 sq meter open space with a big balcony overlooking the lake. It has super sized cedar king bed. You can take a shower overlooking the volcanoes and the amazing landscape. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two queen beds, one being a loft bed and a single bed Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Mattresses and pillows are very comfortable. The three bathrooms have showers and bidets. At the top of the house there is a solarium that it is a great place to lie on a hammock (provided with the house) to watch the stars at night. There is a caretaker onsite to solve any issues that may arise. Please feel free to ask any questions. The house is located in a true tropical paradise: lush, green, vibrant and full of life. As in any natural environment, the landscape here changes with the seasons - there is a rainy season (May to October) and a dry season (November to May). Because nature flourishes and is abundant it is normal to encounter local creatures such as insects, ants, spiders, geckos, bats, scorpions, etc. These are simply part of the ecosystem that surrounds the house and live all around lake Atitlan. We make every effort to keep them away and maintain the interior as comfortable as possible, but given the setting, there is always a chance they may come and go. In tropical environments like this, the natural ecosystem works in cycles. At times you may find a dead insect, spider or scorpion. When that happens, ants quickly appear, as they naturally seek out these remains as a food source. Try not to eat in bed and if you do please make sure not to leave crumbs of food lying around as this food source will attract insects. We appreciate your understanding and hope this helps you enjoy the experience with the right expectations. Important Notice: The house is lakefront, so we have our own dock to arrive straight by private boat that we can help you organize . For those wanting to come by car there is a private parking spot 100 meters from the house that we need to reserve in advance since it’s not ours. Guest access the entire house depending on the amount of people staying and bedrooms needed.
