Traditional Troje cabin, renovated and comfortable

Description

La Troje is a small, old wooden cabin that has been completely renovated in an environmentally friendly manner to preserve its traditional character. It is ideal for relaxing with family or friends and getting to know this beautiful region! It has a fully-equipped kitchenette (stove, refrigerator, and utensils), a dining room, a loft with 4 beds, and a bathroom with hot water. We are ten minutes from Pátzcuaro, in a very quiet place but easily accessible too, very close to the pier of Janitzio Island. The space Our 'troje' (wooden house from the Purepecha region of Michoacán) has been completely renovated and refurbished to preserve its traditional character. It has all the amenities for a unique stay! In addition to maintaining the traditional characteristics of the troje, we insulated the roof with straw and mud, and tongue-and-groove boards, which provides a very thermal and warm atmosphere in the tapanco (there are no air inlets, it stays cool during the day and warm at night). These natural techniques increase the comfort of the cabin, which in other places are very austere. With this we have managed to create a unique experience of staying in a traditional house with enough comfort for a pleasant stay. The cabin is oriented in such a way that it has a nice view of the hill of the large Pátzcuaro foothill and the sunset is beautiful from the terrace. The bedroom is in the loft and has several beds that we can accommodate according to your needs and the number of people, for example 2 king size beds, 1 king bed and 3 single beds, 5 single beds, etc...). Environmentally conscious and eager to have a limited impact, the toilet is an ecological dry toilet with a urine separator, meaning it does not use water to avoid contamination. It is cleaned after each visit and we use the organic matter as fertilizer for the trees after being composted. We have Internet but because we are in a rural area, the signal is slow and sometimes fails. We have large green areas and parking. The garden is very large and is constantly being improved. We have planted about 40 fruit trees that are growing. We are committed to planting a tree for every booking we get! All profits generated will be invested in reforesting the place and maintaining the garden. Guest access You can park next to the cabin, that is, inside the property. The place is very secure. In addition, it is surrounded by a cyclone mesh all around, although it should be noted that there may be certain parts where pets could dig underneath. Other things to note The listing says "Uranden Island" but we're near the pier, not on the island... Pets are welcome, we have plenty of space for them to run and do their business. We allow a maximum of 2 pets and ask you to keep an eye on them so they don't cause damage inside the cabin or outside in the garden. It is forbidden to leave them locked inside the cabin while their owners are not there. We also ask that you do not climb on the deck or the living room sofa for hygiene reasons and to avoid possible damage that would have to be charged to the guest.
