From post office to popular hotel The Clarion Collection Hotel Post is located in two buildings, each with its own story to tell of Oskarshamn's past. The beautiful main building dates back to 1905 and used to be the city's post office before it became a hotel in 1985. It underwent extensive renovation in 2012. The interior of the main building dates back to the early 1900s. It has high ceilings and several of the rooms have stunning ceramic fireplaces. The hotel truly offers a reminder of the city's past as a shipbuilding community. The former city hotel is located nearby, and it was renovated in 2003. Featuring bathrobes, this twin/double room includes a private bathroom with a bath, a shower and a hairdryer. This twin/double room is air-conditioned and has a seating area with a flat-screen TV, a tea and coffee maker, a wardrobe, a sofa, as well as parquet floors.
