This is a 2-bedroom option with private bath in our lodge in a pristine mountain setting on 38 acres in Hope Valley, California, one of the most gorgeous natural landscapes in the Sierras. In winter, we'll bring you to the lodge over the snow in a snowcat! From the lodge you can hike, kayak, fish, bikeride, snowshoe, ski, snowmobile or admire fall colors. Kirkwood ski resort is only 12 miles away. *4 private rooms in lodge are also rented individually (Links in "Jean’s Listings’ in my profile) The space Bedroom 1, ALPENGLOW ROOM, has the best view of all the rooms. It has a queen bed, high ceilings, full closet, leather sitting chair, and gorgeous view of the mountain right from your bed. Bedroom 2, COWBOY ROOM, is a spacious yet cozy private room that has a western feel with hay bails, saddle and cowboy boots as part of the decor. Enjoy the comfort of the plush queen bed, and the convenience of a full closet. This room has lots of windows and roof angles which makes it inviting. Right next door to your two rooms is a large private bathroom with two sinks, toilet and tub/shower combination. Our private family-run mountain lodge is eco-friendly, as we generate our power from the sun with battery storage, and heat our water from the sun. All the rooms in our off-grid solar powered rustic lodge/log home are bright and cheery with lots of windows. We can introduce you to amazing alpine lakes and streams and trails nearby for kayaking, fishing, paddle-boarding, hiking or biking. Start the day with a home cooked breakfast each morning before you venture out to enjoy your day’s activities. Our goal is for you to feel refreshed and rejuvenated after your stay here in our mountain lodge. In the winter there is a groomed road/trail for cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or walking. Or make fresh tracks through our snowy meadows! (Click on my picture to get into my profile) Guest access In addition to your private bedrooms and bathroom, guests have access to light use of the kitchen (microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee makers, utensils, sink), dining room, living room, deck and 38 acres of meadow and forest to roam on. The great room on the main floor (with massive granite fireplace and mountain views) is an inviting room where you can snuggle up by the fire in the winter, or socialize with other guests. Our large deck is a popular place for guests to drink their morning coffee, watch the sunset over the mountain, or stargaze. We often make a campfire in the cowboy cauldron on our deck during the non-winter months especially on weekends. Other things to note Hope Valley is known for being one of the hidden gems of the Sierras. Note that there are stairs at the house. Ask about bringing your kids along! Great getaway for a couple or multiple couples, or families, as this listing is for two side-by-side bedrooms with private bathroom. Each of the rooms can also be rented individually from two different listings. There are four rooms total that we rent in the lodge.
