Steps to the beach!! Plumeria - Featured on HGTV!!
Description
Paradise! Just a half hour drive from the Liberia international airport, the jungle meets the volcanic hills and a dazzling Blue-Flag beach appears: the perfectly named Playa Hermosa (“beautiful beach” in Spanish). Welcome to iconic Casitas Vista Mar, featured on HGTV's "Beachfront Bargain Hunt”! We offer an idyllic location at the quiet south end of the beach…enjoy your view of the ocean…hear the surf…and WALK to the beach in 3 minutes! The space Casitas Vista Mar is a villa which houses 3 fully self-contained suites - the name translates to “little houses with a view of the sea”…and that’s exactly what we offer! The suites are side-by-side, with each one set back from the one next to it, so each has its own private terrace overlooking the ocean! The suites are separated by cement block walls - peaceful and private. We’ve named all 3 suites after flowers: ours is “Plumeria”, named after the gorgeous flowering tree outside our bedroom window; the middle suite is named “Maracuya”, after the vibrant passionfruit flower; the end suite is “Ylang Ylang" (pronounced ee-lang ee-lang), named after the beautifully fragrant flower used in aromatherapy to promote peace. This listing is for our very own “Plumeria” suite - our other one bedroom/one bath guest suites can also be found here on Airbnb, under “Casitas Vista Mar - Maracuya Suite” and "Casitas Vista Mar - Ylang Ylang Suite". We have completely re-imagined, rebuilt and re-furnished our villa and are proud to offer you this very special space! The suite features a primary bedroom tucked away from the living area, with patio doors leading to the front and side terraces as well as an ensuite bath (with roomy shower and double sinks); a second open loft bedroom features a walk-out to the rooftop terrace. The living area has a soaring vaulted ceiling, a fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast bar and a second full bathroom - a floating staircase leads to a loft bedroom with a walk-out to the stunning rooftop terrace! You read that right: we have 3 beautiful, private, covered terraces for your enjoyment! The rooftop terrace, with its breathtaking view of the ocean, is where you'll spend most of your outdoor time, whether lounging in the chaises, the sofa, the loveseat or the Acapulco chairs, with the ceiling fan above you moving the ocean breeze. A bar fridge saves you from interrupting your leisure time with trips to the kitchen. The huge main terrace also offers a spectacular ocean view and is furnished with two ceiling fans, a barbecue, dining suite that comfortably seats 8 and another outdoor sofa. The side terrace, equipped with two zero-gravity chairs, is the perfect spot to lounge, read...and nap. The Plumeria suite is decorated in light airy shades punctuated by pops of tropical colour - a perfectly balanced palate that's both soothing and invigorating! The furniture is either handcrafted by local artisans, using the famous local woods of Guanacaste province or shipped from Leaders Casual Furniture from Florida, known for its gorgeous, quality indoor and outdoor furniture. High thread-count linens and plush towels are among the many details that have been carefully chosen to ensure the utmost in comfort and enjoyment. The kitchen has everything you need, right down to a blender for those classic tropical cocktails. Whether you prefer to keep cool by opening the windows and turning on the ceiling fans (like we do) or closing it all up and turning on the air conditioning, we’ve got you covered - we offer brand new ceiling fans and air conditioning units in all our suites. Guest access Parking is behind the villa and level with the suite (no steps). We have a laundry “bodega” (small out-building) which houses a full size, front-load washer & dryer (we even provide laundry soap!), an iron & ironing board and a "take a book, leave a book" shelf. :) Other things to note We chose this part of the Pacific Coast because it’s within a half hour drive to the airport. In 2014, we embarked on a vigorous search of all the beach towns in the area, including: Playa Panama; Playas del Coco; and Playa Ocotal. We chose Playa Hermosa because it offered the perfect blend of sleepy little beach town and walkable amenities, old and new construction, locals and ex-pats…in other words, not too touristy and not too remote!
