The space This property has everything you will need to feel at home during your stay including your personal patio, a fully stocked kitchen, board games and books, 2 smart tv’s, an Alexa, and more! All linens are provided. Outdoor space includes fire pits, picnic tables, a grill, hammocks, lawn games and fishing/boat docks which are shared with all of our guests. Boat slips are possible with your stay depending on availability and boat size. Please inquire in advance for rates and reservation. Guest access This apartment is one of 4 spaces at our small resort property directly on the Pere Marquette Bayou in Ludington. You have private and separate access to your own space with your personal deck overlooking the Bayou. The docks and the large lawn, including fire pits, a grill, picnic tables, hammocks and lawn games are shared with other guests. Other things to note This property has been completely renovated and re-imagined. It was a "Marina and Fishing Docks" for over 40 years with the owners living on the property and sharing the first building with the Marina that they established. Over the years, as tends to happen with a family business and no family to carry on, the Marina was closed and left in disrepair. We were so excited to work with the original owners to buy this property with the vision of bringing life back into this location. We began the transformation to "the Bluë Bayou Marina & Resort" last Summer, 2024. All 5 of the boat docks have been replaced creating 10 boat slips. The boardwalk to the docks were immediately repaired and renewed for boat slips and fishing docks. "The Draper, Unit B" was the original living quarters of the owners and has been fully renovated and updated creating our first apartment, a mid-century modern space sleeping 6. Think Mad Men...and Don Draper. "The Goldfish, Unit A" was the original marina shop, and was completely renovated into our 2nd apartment, sleeping 4 with a bird's eye view of the bayou and a large deck for summer living. Think modern cowboy fishing lodge with a totally open concept. "The Hemmingway, Unit C" is our 3rd renovation in a cinderblock house that was used as a rental by the owners of the marina, next door. This unit sleeps up to 10 people all in their own bed. Think vintage old Key West or Cuba. Fire pits, picnic tables, a grill and hammocks are added to the lawn directly on the water along with yard games for the enjoyment of all of our guests. These 3 completed guest units are in service now, with one more, our final and 4th living space here to be renovated and included in our vision for next summer, "The Swan, Unit 4". Think romantic honeymoon cottage vibe. We think this will sleep 2 but maybe 4. We encourage you to watch us grow!
