The Pitmedden Garden, maintained by the National Trust for Scotland, is the town's most famous landmark. It features five miles of perfect boxwood hedges planted in creative patterns, as well as 80 different species of apple trees and stunning fountains. While just twenty miles away you can visit the enchanted castle of Fyvie Castle, another National Trust for Scotland site, where you can have a tour of the sumptuous rooms and hear of the folklore and even ghost stories that continue on today at the Museum of Farming Life.
