Those attractions include: rafting on the Martha Brae River; the Good Hope Great House Tour and associated Chukka Adventure activities (think long Zip Lines and ATV trail riding etc); the Swamp Safari; night swimming in a bio-luminescent lagoon!; the Falmouth heritage and food tours; the Rose Hall Great House Tour and many, many more - not to mention learning kiteboarding at the first and only IKO kitecenter on the island at nearby Bounty Bay plus swimming and/or relaxing at white sandy beaches that are among the safest (shallow and relatively calm) for young children. Additionally, the cruise ship pier in the town of Falmouth is called upon by mega cruise ships Monday to Friday of each week. Falmouth receives the lion's share of cruise ship visitors to Jamaica, but manages to avoid being too touristy. Further, all the other major attractions on Jamaica's North coast are within a hour's drive, including Montego Bay's nightlife approx 30 mins away. Other things to note You are coming to the tropics where mosquitoes and sand flies can be a nuisance especially at dusk and dawn on the beach, so take along your preferred bug spray etc. All the windows at Cabaña Papaya are fitted with insect screens and if those screens and the doors are routinely kept closed that should avoid the nuisance of flying insects indoors.
