Town: A pretty little village, Rocester lies on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border, located on a triangle of land between the River Churnet and River Dove. The site of a Roman fort exists today and the village was also mentioned in the Domesday Book. Rocester is home to the famous JCB factory, and the company has landscaped the surrounding area to provide some wonderful walks with some interesting sculptures around the site and the nearby parkland.
