The health resort of Plau am See is divided into several districts and stretches for about 8 km along the western shore of Lake Plau, Germany’s seventh-largest lake. The old town is characterized by the half-timbered and brick houses of the farming townspeople. In addition to the drawbridge, the castle tower, and the castle museum, the 13th-century Protestant town church “St. Marien” and the Plau Town Hall, built in the Dutch Renaissance style, are outstanding historical landmarks worth visiting. Another highlight is the lighthouse, offering a panoramic view right at the junction of the Müritz-Elde waterway and Lake Plau. Built to be winter-proof in 1998, the house is located in the Plötzenhöhe neighborhood, in a residential area on a very quiet side street with no through traffic. The Plötzenhöhe neighborhood is located about 3 km south of the city center. Lake Plauer is 300 meters away, and Lake Plötzen is 50 meters away. Ferienhaus Drei Birken: This luxuriously furnished vacation home is approximately 50 m² and accommodates 2 people (children up to 3 years old stay free in their parents’ bed). The house has central heating. Bathroom with underfloor heating, shower, toilet, washer, and dryer; bedroom with a wide double bed; living room with TV, stereo CD player; fully equipped built-in kitchen with fridge-freezer, stove, dishwasher, and microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle. Large covered patio with patio furniture in front of the house. There is a parking space next to the house, and storage space for bicycles is available. Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and check-out from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
