Great basement studio apartment in the best part of Winnipeg....Wolseley! Enjoy the convenience of being centrally located to everything the city has to offer but nestled in a warm and vibrant community boasting mature trees, character homes, cafes, bakeries and shops. The space Please note, the entry to the suite requires that you go down a flight of stairs. The stairs going down are on the steep side, and there is somewhat low overhead. It can be tight and awkward with luggage. Please see picture of the entry in the picture section for reference. Please note that the ceilings are lower due to this being a basement. The total clearance throughout the apartment is between 75-79 inches. There is one section of the apartment between the kitchen and living room which has ductwork a few feet wide, and the clearance there is 70 inches. if you are over 5 feet, 10 inches, you will need to duck for a few steps. The suite is located in the basement of my century old character home. I live upstairs with my dog. You will hear us as it is a very old house but we do our best to be respectful of noise. Your space is a private space with it's own private entrance via electronic keypad and not shared with anyone else. You will have your very own space to enjoy your stay. It has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay in Winnipeg, including a newly renovated kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook a meal, a private bathroom with bathtub and your own washer and dryer, a television with access to a Netflix account (an active account is provided free but there is no cable), a very comfortable Queen size bed with dreamy memory foam topper for some plushy cushion and a living room with a large comfy sofa. You will have access to outside space right outside your door, and your own private apartment complete with anything you could need including fresh linens (towels, facecloths, tea towels, etc) and a cozy down duvet. I am more than happy to advise on things to do around Winnipeg and give you info on my favorite places, restaurants or just let you know how to get around. If you consult the online “Guide" section of my listing, I have included many nearby amenities and restaurants. Most central locations are walk-able from the house. If you need to take transit there are several options within a few minutes' walk. There are so many options close by. Cafés, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, amenities, transit and bakeries! There is an electronic keypad to enter the house, so you are able to access the suite regardless of your arrival time. * Please note that this is a basement suite and it tends to be quite cool in the summer months. Especially when it is hot and the air conditioner is running. *I will consider small well behaved pets on an individual basis. Pets MUST be agreed to prior to booking. -NON SMOKING!! -Private entrance (the entrance going downstairs is quite tight. It is a little awkward with luggage, but only needs to be done once!) -High Speed Wifi -Quick walk to major bus routes and grocery store -15 minute walk to University of Winnipeg * Everyone is welcome here. Guest access There is an electronic keypad to enter the house, so you are able to access the suite at any time, day or night. I have check in and check out times listed, however, unless a guest is arriving or departing the same day, I am flexible. Other things to note *I will consider small-ish, well behaved, potty trained pets, who do not chew or scratch, or make excessive noise. All pets must be approved prior to booking. There is an additional pet fee for your approved pet. The fee is per pet, per stay. There is also a pet damage deposit required which is fully refundable barring any damage. Please tell me about your pet: size/ breed/ age/ if they have * The space is thoroughly, and professionally cleaned after each guest by our long time amazing housekeeper Jodi who is paid a living wage. Our priority is to ensure the space is spotless for you! When making the initial booking, a base cleaning fee is charged, but for stays of over a month, we charge the cleaning fee monthly, as there is almost always additional cleaning required after an extended stay. If less cleaning is needed than what you paid for, you will be refunded the difference. If additional cleaning is required beyond what is typically required, or if any damage occurs that is outside of normal wear and tear, extra charges will apply.
