Las Tapias is a typical livestock farm in the lower Magdalena, Colombia, where you can experience day-to-day production with water buffaloes, their milking and farm work. EXPERIENCES birdwatching, small boat ride through the Sahaya Swamp, visit to BUFFALO milking, coastal cheese production and horseback riding (Buffalo collection at dawn) through beautiful natural forests. *These have a $$cost per person, must be coordinated with your host. The space Hacienda Las Tapias is a typical wooden house built more than 60 years ago. The rooms have high ceilings and are very well shaded, which makes them cool, and they have good fans that allow a cool and pleasant temperature. The house has corridors around its entire surroundings and has a large hammock room, fully attached, which makes it an excellent place to share with the family. There is a large dining room and a small kitchenette. Meals can be ordered from the Hacienda's main kitchen. Guest access There is a large bathroom with a delicious stream of fresh water. Plenty of water and there is also a large kitchenette to prepare snacks and coffee. You can also request that they prepare the different meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner on request), for which you must notify in advance if you require any special diet, e.g. vegetarian or gluten-free. Our meals are simple, natural and typical farm recipes. Our homemade specialty is whey and coastal cheese. Other things to note The EXPERIENCES to be carried out during your stay and which will make you spend pleasant times together with friends or family. These are horseback riding, birdwatching through our native forests, buffalo grazing and milking visit, small boat trip through the Sahaya swamp. All of these activities have a cost apart from the accommodation and must be coordinated in advance with the host.
