The space Carpenters Cottage is an absolute delight, a traditional detached stone cottage, it has been in the family for generations and is tucked away in the heart of the village of Marloes. Charmingly renovated and extended, it is deceptively spacious, a real surprise when you step in, furnished in a mix of contemporary and antique pieces. The comfortable sitting area has exposed rich plum stone work of the original cottage with dividing doors to the spacious, South-facing fitted kitchen/dining area with French doors opening to a sunny paved terrace and garden. There is a second sitting room for quietly relaxing. Open-tread stairs lead up from the sitting area to the bedrooms nestling in the eaves, the main double bedroom has a lovely Juliette balcony overlooking the garden. Set back from the road, enjoy relaxing in the sheltered enclosed garden, the paved rear terrace is a lovely spot to dine alfresco with steps leading up to the large, sloping lawned garden, but be careful of the unfenced drops. Conveniently situated there is a pub, The Lobster Pot, serving food, in the village itself, while the beautiful beaches of Musslewick and Marloes sands are within a 1 mile walk. St Ishmaels garden centre cafe, Nic's cafe, do takeaway sandwiches to enjoy as a picnic. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore the stunning coastline, the Puffin Shuttle which stops in the village is ideal for taking you further afield allowing you to walk and catch the bus back. Martins Haven is only 2 miles away and is the embarkation point for boats to visit Skomer and Skokholm, between May and August, a visit to see our famous Puffins is a must. The waterside village of Dale with its beach is located nearby on the mouth of the Milford Haven waterway, its sheltered position makes it ideal for boating and sailing enthusiasts, as well as water sports lovers, there is a hire shop here, as well as the award winning Griffin pub, It is perfect for refuelling after a busy day messing around on the water or walking the peninsula.
