Konnarock Homestead w/ Mountain View, VA Creeper Trail/Appalachian Trail local

The Konnarock Homestead is located in the heart of The Jefferson National Forest. Guests can easily visit three beautiful recreation areas (including the two highest peaks in Virgina): Grayson Highlands State Park, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, and Whitetop Mountain. The area provides many beautiful and exciting experiences such as biking the Creeper Trail, hiking the AT, many other trails, and much more! Our pottery shop is located within walking distance to the Homestead if you would like to explore local artisans and there is also a fire pit to enjoy during the night in the Appalachian Mountains! **Since Hurricane Helene devastated our region, the Creeper Trail is unfortunately inaccessible from Whitetop to Damascus. However, the 17 miles from Damascus to Abingdon is undamaged and is available to ride or hike. Please consider supporting local businesses and communities as we continue to rebuild from this natural disaster**
